Please describe as best you can, ingredients, color, and cost if unusual. Did you like it? Do you still order it?
Answer:
In Japan -- live raw shrimp.
Cut the heads off, peal and pop.
It's unsavory and not for the squeamish, but even more rude to refuse if offered.
ingredients color cost..this questions is unusual.
tuna fish. Moist, flesh toned and usually $400-$500 a month. I love it and try to have it everyday. If she lets me.
is crazy sushi like the funky chicken?
ewwww, raw fish
ummm
I got 2 go with raw fish.
none
A shrimp tempura sushi. I say it was carzy because it was hugely round, impossible to eat in one bite adn they left the tail on so there was a big fried fin sticking up. And hot ingredients (Fried Shrimp) in cold sushi didn't help keep it together, either. You had to basically take the stupid rolls apart to eat it. That was crazy.
Sea urchin (I think), with a raw quail's egg on top. It, was, well, it wasn't a California roll. It didn't cost me a thing, because my cute-as-a-button Polynesian girlfriend just charmed the dickens out of the sushi chef at the place we were eating at. He said it was 'good for stamina'. Rather thoughtful of him, I thought.
i have a few from upstate ny
Dancing Diablo Roll 6.00
Salmon Diablo (spicy raw salmon) tempura'd with Dinosaur BBQ sauce
and Pacific Ocean Roll 5.00
Smoked Salmon, avocado and bacon.
and Louisiana Roll5.50
Crawdads in a spicy Cajun/Vietnamese sauce.
and my all time favorite Spank Me Roll6.00
Snowcrab with wasabi mayo rolled in wasabi Tobiko eggs
Sushi is overrated (I would know). I like to eat kimbop, which is the Korean version of sushi. Unlike Japanese and Chinese sushi, in kimbop, the meat is cooked. I've had BBQ squid kimbop (which is really spicy squid, not BBQ'ed), BBQ beef kimbop (definitely BBQ'ed), spicy tuna kimbop, regular tuna kimbop, and that's all I can think of right now.
=)
I tried this one maki. It was two kinds of fish, I forgot which ones. It also had jalapenos, cilantro, cream cheese and some other ingredients. The colors were amazing. Red, green and white, mostly. I forgot. But it was really good. The cost was about $9 or $10 bucks. I had it in a Japanese restaurant in Chicago. I loved it. If I still lived in Chicago, I would order it.
lol... jellybean and licorice sushi made by my 1st grade class =D
this questions is unusual
Barbecued barracuda. $15 per order for two pieces in a sushi bar in Los Angeles years ago. It was prepared like sea eel but better and smokier. I would still order it if I could remember the name of the bar.
Spicey scallop roll. It was yummy. I could eat it everyday.
eaten lots of sushi but the best is sashimi---none of it is cooked at all whereas sushi is mostly cooked
my favorite is eel is is pinkish in color on bed of rice covered with good tasting osabi (green and spicy sauce)
pink lady, Dragon roll, Futomaki. The dragon roll= eel, crab, and topped with avacodo. Pink lady=shrimp tempura, crab and cream cheese. futomaki= very colorfull looks like a stainglass window. $5.00-7.50. love all 3 of them. yes I order all 3 everytime I eat sushi.
