Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(What is the culinary name for turkey and dumplings?),it will help you,my kids.
My Aunt makes a dish with Thanksgiving leftovers that is the equivalent of Turkey and dumplings - she calls it "Snoddaflaka" in Italian, but I can't seem to find any information under this name or a formal recipe...
Answer:
Snodda flaka?
Eccola, that's not even Italian!?
Porca miseria!
It's HER invention, hunny. lol Your Aunt sounds really COOL! Maybe you could look up Turkey Ala King??
My mama used to make soup and she called it *Slum-gullion*, but you ain't gonna find the recipe for it anywhere, cause it's just something that she made up! lol
Cheers
The truth is just about anything can be made with dumplings.
I have heard of potato, tomato, pea, kraut, pinto and my personal
favorite is beef dumplings. Seriously they are delicious. Yeah it's just a way to stretch food out or to use leftovers but very yummy.
Very fattening too. I am sure many cultures have different Formal names for it but here we call it Turkey and Dumplings. Make it just like Chicken and Dumplings.
Dumplings are so not Italian!!!
Just like the name of the dish - don't bother looking into any books, there is no way you'll ever find this "formal recipe".
