    What is the difference between Kosher and Halal?

Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days,anyone help us?

The other answers have alot of excellent points, Kosher meats are also salted to draw out all the blood and bodily fluids, an both are done in a humane way, as both religion's demand the animals not suffer or be mistreated in the slaughtering process.

Kosher tends to only use specific parts of the animal, beef is not used past the 4th rib, no shellfish or meat that does not chew its cud or has a cloven hoof.

Halal is less strict with the parts used, and does not have a meat/dairy food consumption issues as with the Jewish dietary laws of meat and dairy food on the same plate or kitchen.

I was a chef for 20 yrs in Canada and worked in Hotels with Kosher kitchens.
