Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(What is the everyday food, that people eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.in In),it will help you,my kids.

my projects due in tomorrow an i really need to know what they eat for those 3 meals..

Answer:
Sambar, idli, roti's with chutneys and dosa's is what I found to be the most common thing to eat. We had it almost everyday.breakfast lunch and dinner :)
naan / roti (flat bread in each meal)
BASMATI rice
lentils (Dahl)
(spinach)
India being as huge as it is has many different cultures and sections of society. Each of them really have their own styles of cuisine and type of food eaten varies from place to place.

I could however give you a general idea on this.

Breakfast: In the north, would be Puri or chapathi (both are types of breads) eaten with Bhajji (vegetable preparation). Down south, people tend to have dosa, idli or vada with chutneys and sambar.

Lunch: North Indians tend to eat chapathis / roti (slight variation of chapathis) again with dal, vegetables etc.
South Indians tend to have rice with vegetables and lot of gravies. Curd on the side is common in the north and south.

Dinner again would be a repeat of lunch, though some north indians have rice, while south indians have rice again.

Non vegetarians would add such preparations to either lunch or dinner, and its very rare to see meat served at breakfast.

Hope this helps! All the best on the project!!
Bon appetite!!
I love south Indian food the best:

Breakfast: masala dosa or idli that come with some sambar and coconut chutney to have with some chai (sweet milky spiced tea)

Lunch and/or dinner:
a thali (which is usually a big steel plate with rice and puri fried bread with lots of different vegetable curries in little bowls including sambal and rasam plus some curd and some mango and lime pickles)

Mmmmmwwwwahahahahahhh (making sounds like Homer Simpson)
