they love potato and...?
Answer:
sour -Kraut deli sh rinse can or packet with hot water to remove salt drain then heat in pan or microwave serve with grilled Kranski sausages and you have a great kraut meal !
Don't know the answers, but you could probably add potato and cheese (Svelti) as a meal.
Ummm... I dunno ? What other answer you are looking for here... Rice maybe? My great grandmother is full blood german though, her parents came to America on the ship, and I do know that golumkis (also known as cabbage rolls) are a tradition and favorite in my family. (Served with salt pork, the true German way, not tomato sauce!) =]
cabbage and sausages
sauerkraut
Spaetzel - potato dumplings. Add a little butter and some fresh herbs...delicious!
Sausages and sauerkraut.
German dishes are a real treat anytime - sausages, pork dishes, breads and pastries, wines are mouth-watering feast - i'm quite sure these would be their favorites too!
Kartoffelsalat or potato salad and Wurst (sausage) like Curry Wurst, Leberwurst, Frankfurter, Weisswurst, Bierwurst, Blutwurst, Bratwurst, etc. In Bayern, Schweinshaxe! Germans love pork too! Also Kebabs because of the large migrant population from Turkey.Guten Appetit! {:-)
Kartoffelsalat (Potaoe salad), Eisbein (meat), Sauerkraut (Cabbages and pork), Sp?tzel (Pasta)..and my favourite is the German Desserts yum yum Schwarzwald (Blackforest) K?setort (cheese tarts)
Guten Appetit!!
scznitzel, kartofel,wurst, saur kraut,
I'm German and I can't stand sauerkraut... I really can't eat it and potatoes are okay, but not really my favorite, I like rice better. Cutlets and sausages are good, but my favorites are actually not the traditional German food, I like Italian food (I eat quite a lot of pizza and pasta, and it's also easy to make) and Chinese food is great (but unfortunately I can't really cook it), and the things you can buy at the many Turkish snackbars in Germany (like doner kebab) are also very good. Arab food is similar to Turkish food and also great. I sometimes used to cook with a friend from Egypt, it was very delicious. And Indian food is good too, but only if it is the less spicy version for the Westeners. Yes I really think the Asian/Oriental cuisines are the best. And we have a lot of Turkish, Arab, Indian and East Asian food shops, snackbars and restaurants here.
Well people are all different and have different favorite dishes, there is not one favorite dish of all the Germans. There are those who like traditional German food and others who like something else, and also the different regions of Germany have different traditional dishes, for example some things like the knuckle of pork are typical for South Germany and hardly eaten in the North, and there are some types of fish that are typical for the North of Germany near the North and Baltic Sea, and in Thuringia they have special sausages and dumplings, and so on.
Wurst (sausages)
Spaetzle.
Sauerbraten.
Potato pancakes.
Strudel
Wienerschnitzel
Beer.
Schnapps.
