Kitty said: Yes.What is the white film that forms on pots and pans when cooking on a GAS stove?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(What is the white film that forms on pots and pans when cooking on a GAS stove?),it will help you,my kids.
It is on the exterior of my pots and I have to scour it off with a scratch pad occasionally. It does not come all the way off and is really hard to get off. What is it?
Answer:
Chemical reaction visible on the surface of the metal pot. Depending on the type of pot you're using - aluminum, stainless steel, etc. - the natural gas flame leaves a residue.
I dont know but I get the same thing its like a ring around it
Maybe starch...i guess it depends on what you are cooking. Rice, potatoes, pasta...
it could be also mineral deposit from the water. I find if I am boiling water, for a long time bu it self, I notice a white film on my pots. I have a gas stove now but I have seen this on an electric stove as well
I also think it's mineral deposits from water. Either from cooking with water or when the pots and pans are washed.
