Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(What kind of oil to fry tempura?),it will help you,my kids.

I read that it's part sesame oil and part "vegetable oil" - but what type of veggie oil, and in what proportion with sesame oil?

Answer:
Only use a teeny-tiny amount of sesame oil --- it's expensive and very potent stuff. You only need a few drops for your tempura to taste like sesame.

As far as the other oil: any vegetable oil will do. I've fried tempura in canola oil and it's worked quite well. Peanut oil is also very good for frying --- it has a high smoke point, so it can be kept at a higher temperature for longer.
damn, if my husband was still here (he left for work), I'd ask him (he's a sushi cheif)... I think u should use 3 parts veg oil, and 1 part sesame...? sorry
I think it doesn't really matter which veggie oil, but use something that is suitable for you. Don't use anything with rapeseed oil as it is not good for you.

As for sesame oil, too much of it will taste bitter so if you really want to mix, just a teaspoon or two is enough.

What matters most in tempura frying is the heat and the amount of oil. The type of pan too makes a difference.
sesame isn't very good for frying as it has a low smoke point. the very best would be peanut oil, but it can be pricey. i just use canola.
vegetable oil for deep frying (fill fondue pot 80% full)
DO NOT fry with sesame oil it is way to tempermental and is for seasoning not frying.
Use peanut oil it has the highest smoke point and no taste.
Veggie oil will work fine any type just make sure it is new
The vegetable oil can be any type you like - Canola, Vegetable (Soybean), Sunflower, Corn.

From the website below...
Add about 10 percent toasted sesame oil to the oil used for tempura or deep-frying. This will give the cooking oil a rich background flavor.

Sesame seed oil to vegetable oil ratio:
4 or 5 teaspoons of toasted sesame seed oil for every cup of vegetable oil will give you about 10%.
Canola oil with a dollop of sesame seed oil
I'd agree with most of the above--grapeseed oil is also OK, has a high smoke point. I would NOT use corn oil!
Using sesame oil for frying is an expensive waste of time. It will taint the food. I like groundnut oil as it has the best flavour and a high flash point.
