Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days, anyone help us?
Kitty said: Yes.What percentage of the average soy sauce is sodium?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(What percentage of the average soy sauce is sodium?),it will help you,my kids.
Answer:
It's on average approximately 1100mg per 15ml, or some 75%. For a comparison, a famous branded 'low sodium' version (1) is 3300mg per 100g, or close to a third, proportionally. It is and always will be a (very) salty product, of course... ;-/
alot.
its better to get real soy sauce it tastes better
I would guess close to 100%! There are reduced-sodium soy sauces available, though.
I would say an average brand would be about 40%. You could always get a "Less Sodium" type of soy sauce, which of course defeats the purpose of using soy sauce. Just remember, if you use regular soy sauce in a recipe, it's less likely that you will have to salt it as well.
That will change with the brand and the kind of sauce.
Check the Nutritional Facts label on the bottle.
