Answer:
I'd use fajita spice.
Salt
Chili powder
Paprika
Cumin
Garlic powder
chili power, cumin, garlic
Why not make your own...and tastyer ?
EX:
Homemaid Taco seasoning #1
Ingredients:
6 teaspoons chili powder
5 teaspoons paprika
4 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
3 teaspoons onion powder
2 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
This recipe for Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix serves/makes .5 cup
getting the right mix of spices can be tricky, and I have found that the mexicans have really mastered blending peppers with other spices. You can mix your own to your taste
ground cumin
chli power
garlic powder and sweet hungarian Paprika
OR, just go to tahe mexican store that sells imported products, one that I have found that works well with beef, chicken ,or shrimp is PICO FAJITAS under the trade mark milpas.
Try the original way. Simply use crushed garlic, ground cumin, salt and pepper. Delicious.
Umm...hard to call it. Salt n Pepper is my guess. The key to any great taco is all in the salsa. E-mail me for a bitchin salsa. I won't give it out to anybody. Mexicans don't usually make tacos with shredded beef...except for those working in restaurants making those dishes for the white folk who like 'em. Shredded beef is usually used to make Machaca...shedded beef, eggs, diced onion & jalapeno or serrano peppers (not bell pepper as most places do), and chopped tomato. with a side of refried beans, some warm flour or corn tortillas, and a hot cup of joe...its a damn good way to start your day!! Sorry, guess I got off topic.
2 packages (1 oz. EACH) taco seasoning
1 onion, halved and sliced
2 teaspoons seasoned salt (Lawry's)
1 teaspoon chill powder or less
this is the simplest way i could tell you. go to the grocery store and buy taco seasonings. They have it in the gravy isle. (mmmm! so good & i made it simple 4 you. i think i deserve best answer! lol)
Garlic, minced.
Onion, chopped.
Salt.
Pepper.
Fresh seeded peppers, chopped (bell, poblano, or anaheim works best).
Fresh cilantro, chopped.
Cumin.
Mexican (as opposed to Greek) oregano.
A small amount of tomato paste.
Cook it all down until the beef shreds and a lot of the moisture has evaporated.
