You can check your local phone directory for ethnic or gourmet food shops.
Health food stores are a good bet as well.
Where I come from, the large local supermarkets carry this in their refrigerated delicatessen section, and also the mix can be found in the ethnic food department.
If nothing else, you can find a recipe online and use your own sesame seed and other ingredients. This would be more work, of course, but be by far the freshest choice.
try health stores, it's in the organic food section of my supermarket... but I don't live in Canada so not likely to be the same for you.
Try making your own by grinding Sesame seeds and some Sesame oil together. Thats whats Tahina is made off.
I live in Australia and its available in our supermarkets in the health food isle or your could go to a vegetarian store or maybe even try a deli, Although we can buy humus directly from the supermarket too, I wish you Goodluck!
I can't find any in London, England. I obviously don't live in the right area.
Also the big supermarkets want to sell their humus and make an obscene profit.
Look at the grocery store for 'sesame paste.' If you're talking about the arabic dish that they dip the bread into, I think it's the same thing.
