Kitty said: Yes.Who has heard of Japanese peanuts?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Who has heard of Japanese peanuts?),it will help you,my kids.
Is it possible to make them yourself? (with regular peanuts) if so, who has a recipie?
Answer:
Well, I have, they're the wasabi batter coated nuts aren't they? I love them! I've tried making them at home but I have trouble finding ways to make the batter stick to the nuts before frying so I'm still working on that. But I made a decent batter though. I make the batter by mixing Wasabi powder, a little potato flour (or Rice Flour, it's much finer), salt and a little mirin, kinda like how you make tempura batter. I add cold water but make the batter a little thick (I think that was the problem with my first 2 tries) so it sticks better to the peanuts. Make sure the nuts are completely dry roasted (no oils please, another lesson learned by me) and deep fry in medium temperature (so as not to lose that pretty green color). Drain on paper towels or newspaper.
Although I love making things myself, I only experimented with this to satisfy my curiosity. It makes a good snack, but honestly, if you're going to demolish this in about 10 mins, just buy the packed nuts!:) Enjoy!
i have and no you cant
