i've never had german food... so i honestly cant tell you
Yes I do!!! My mom's side of the family is from Germany and they are the best cooks! She has 2 other sisters and they bake the best cookies at Christmas time and they are just overall good cooks! We sometimes eat at a local German restaurant, Schmidts, or even drive down to Cincinnati to the Hofbrauhaus.
Yummy, the Essen Haus in Madison, WI or Roxy's in Oshkosh, WI.

We have the Hofbraus here in Las Vegas and I love it!! We also have Cafe Heidelberg which is fantastic. I try to keep my mind open with food of all cultures so I try everything.

certain things are good. I grew up eating czech food from my grandma,. So sourkraut is good (when done right and sweetened and thickened), red cabbage great. Coprovam svechkov, sweet tomato gravy with dumplings (knedlicks), schitzel of course, dont know what else there is, but it is good. a lot of gravies, but the sweetened cabbage side dishes are good. Roast pork with dumplings and saurkraut is a favorite/.
