Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days, anyone help us?
Kitty said: Yes.Why all the sea food is considered halal and what is the scientific reason for i-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Why all the sea food is considered halal and what is the scientific reason for i),it will help you,my kids.
Why it is not required to slaughter in a halal manner the sea food unlike goats and camels? in the proces of slaughtering in a halal manner all the blood flows out of the animal and thus the bacteria is removed but is it not required to do the same for the sea food. And also why even dead animals of sea food are allowed to eat and not the land animals.?
I know the scientific reason of halal slaughtering process.
Answer:
you are saying "halal". so it means it`s a Islamic issue, not a scientific one.however, i know that some of the Islamic(or any other religions) thoughts, have scientific reasons but not all of them. anyway, it may be because these animals are cold-blooded, so their blood isn`t like the other animals`.
at the end I must say , some people want to find reasons about some stupid religious thoughts. so, think carefully, and don`t fool yourself with these people. I know it ,because I`m in a religious country , and may be in your country!
I don't think we got scientific reason of it but for your information not all sea foods are halal. We don't consider all sea foods as halal because Islam Law stated that any animals that live in 2 world (amphibious example: frog) is haram (not halal).
Most important basis of Halal slaughtering is blood is allowed to be drained slowly from the whole body of slaughtered animal against against chopping of head in one blow which does not drains the blood. It is considered as more hygenic and healthy.
In fish there is no blood to be drained and no slaughtering is required. That's why most of sea food is halal except some variety which is not halal.
Maybe other people don^t understand the Halal way of killing animals for food. If you don't have refrigeration and live in a hot climate (Palestine, Arabia) then blood left in the animal starts to stink after about an hour. So the Halal/Kosher method of slaughter was recommended. This is not particularly scientific, but in the UK, even in the 19th Century it was believed that noxious smells spread disease (I'm sure Doulton laughed all the way to the bank)
