Kitty said: Yes.Why are people scared of spiders?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Why are people scared of spiders?),it will help you,my kids.

i don't mean giant tarantulas which could kill you, and that is reasonable but the tiny little things we get in the house and the daddy longlegs. What exactly is it about them that scares people?

Answer:
Phobias are hard to explain to many people its not rational but my sis is so phobic of even itsy bitsy>EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW...
I know some arachnaphobes say it has to do with the way the spider moves all 8 legs, creeping along.
It's all those legs
coz their big, hairy and have 8 legs. And some of them can kill you.
they scuttle across floors and ceilings at a fast rate of knots!!!
because by no stretch of the imagination could they be classed as cute. eerie things.
Fashion? you will notice people who come from where large spiders are do not fear them as much as those who come from Europe.
I am not one of them, my faves are spders and snakes.
And I pick up the spiders and put them outside.
But my husband won't let me keep snakes, it's either him or the snakes. Hmmm. let me think about that one.
They look nasty with all those legs and some are hairy. EWW!
after watching arachnophobia and the discovery channel why would you even ask something like that.
i have to say i'm not, but got many friends who are, it's because asa kid you are shown images of dangerous spiders, snakes etc etc and it gets in your head

i've got a question, why is this in the ethnic cuisine section?
always ask myself the same question
more than 4 limbs are NOT natural.

I can't even handle live crabs, lobsters (although JUST the tail is fine...good eating too) I don't like ANY kind of insect...I cringe, shudder, and I will even faint if one is on me.

I don't mind snakes, mice or lizards...those all have the proper amount of appendages.
cos you never know if you are messing with the one spider that packs a weapon!
I hate any type of spiders. It is the way they crawl with all those legs....mice and snakes are easy compared to a spider
like how they creep along with all those legs... *shudder* but actually i can deal with daddy longlegs and the really small ones, even if they tend to jump at ya...
hairy creepy legs and all those eyes staring at you.
And this has to do what with cuisine ?
Because they crawl, bite, and some look creepy. Some kill!

Good reasons to be afraid.

Personally, some of my best friends are spiders; some are beautiful. Have u seen the one that hops like a flea? He's cool, but hangs out in Central America.
I know why I'm scared of them: When I was VERY young (about five), I watched the movie Kingdom of the Spiders. It's a crappy movie about giant spiders that take over the world and eat people. What's more, I watched it again a couple of years later. So, the fear developed. Then, as luck would have it, when I was twenty, I rented a small house, and I'd find little baby spiders every day. It started out with one or two then escalated to twenty or more. And guess what: where there are baby spiders, there are monster mother spiders. HUGE damn things. I was having nightmares about them, even waking nightmares where I would wake up, sit up in bed and look up and "see" a spider slowly coming down towards my head. There was nothing there. The exterminator was able to get rid of most of the babies, but I'd still find a big one every now and again. Needless to say, I did not stay there long.
As for why others are afraid of them, maybe there is something genetic involved. Because I know what a pain it is to be afraid of spiders, I didn't want my kids to be afraid of them, and whenever we'd see one, I'd hide my fear. Nevertheless, both my daughters are afraid of spiders. Go figure.
Their just sooooo random! they appear out of nowhere and stand there like they pay rent.

Too much attitude and too many legs!
Did you choose the wrong category? I'm not scared of spiders, but I'm not to keen on eating them and I don't have a recipe for spider à l'orange.
Barking spiders scare me sh*tless!
