Answer:
I really like yer name, man, but because you ask a good question, I'll pass on the jokes (fer now....)

As others have so well put it, "Taco Bell" is a purely American chain to start with and actually has nothing to do with Mexico. Second, what you people in the US call a "taco" is not actually, technically a "taco" down here in Mexico.

With the hard toasted shell, it would be called a "tostada" (a toasted corn tortilla with ingredints piled on top.) A taco is a soft corn or flour tortilla, filled with ingredients, topped with hot sauce and eaten rolled up or folded in two.

One of the main ingredients for a "Taco Bell" taco, cheddar cheese, is almost impossible to even find in Mexico City, unless you check out "Sam's Club." What we up north call "taco spice," you can't buy anywhere in Mexico City. I used to have to bring it back with me from Canada until I finally learned to make a good one here!

After some research, I have discovered that most of what Americans know as "Mexican Food" is very regional from only the very northern border areas, often known as "Tex-Mex" or "Tejano" (don't get me wrong - every time I am in Texas I love to pig out on Tex-Mex food!)

The good news is that as you travel farther south in Mexico, there are even more wonderful things to discover, like tacos of "carnitas," tacos "al Pastor," tacos of "barbacoa." tacos of "guisado."

One taco chain in Mexico City that is really freakin' good and found at many shopping malls is called "Taco Inn."

(Of course here in Mexico City, you can also find some of the best hamburgers on the Earth, too. Try "Ruben's" or "60s, 60s")
12 million people and NO TACO BELLS?

GET REAL!

=)
Because the like to make REAL food in Mexico :)
Because there are better taco places
Because Taco Bell has "Mexican Food" But it's really Tex-Mex, and Mexicans like authentic mexican food better, so businesses like that don't work in Mexico. I'm Mexican, and Personally I like Tex- Mex, but If I'm in Mexico I want to have authentic mexican food.

If you ever go to Guadalajara, Go to "Taqueria Providencia" they have the best Tacos I've ever had.
I've never been to Mexico City, but I can only assume that if you're in Mexico, you'd want AUTHENTIC tacos... Not sure that a Taco Bell would yield much business over there...
Taco Bell in not real Mexican food.Taco Bell Is a copy of Mexico but In an amercing stile.I think they were afraid there bussies might slow down.Don't quot me on it.
Because, Taco Bell is really crappy mexican food, why would you go to tacobell in a place were you can get real mexican food?
i've noticed that too! i don't think Taco Bell would make much of a business, taco bell isn't mexican food at all, and i doubt the people of mexico would buy any food at Taco Bell, they'd head to a McDonalds or burger king.
Why would you want taco bell when you can get real tacos there....you know the type without cheese and lettuce...like they do in Mexico.
because real Mexican people don't need to eat fake taco's. even though they are very good.
Taco Bell is not authentic mexican food. It is catered to American tastes. Hamburgers and Pizza would sell in Mexico and other countries because it is different.
Because it is an insult to real, authentic mexican food.
cause Mexico has the real stuff, its like chinese food in america, if you went to china, trust me its not the same thing.....
Probably people in Mexico City wouldnt like Taco Bell!!!
Visit Taco Bell's official site to find a Taco Bell near you:

http://www.tacobell.com/
probably the same reason there are not domino's pizza in Italy
I guess for the same reasons there are no Outback Steakhouses in Australia.
Traditionally American Cities Only. Hope that answer your Question.
because they invented tacos and their tacos are way better:)
maybe because they are a lot of mexican restrurants and they are mexican so they cook mexican food.
why would they need a taco bell? every household there make their own taco's. which are a thousand times better than taco bell by the way. thanx for asking
Because it's racist. Taco Bell generalises the Mexican culture and diet, hence would infuriate the people.
well i'm not sure how many chinese food places you find in china that are like ours......mexican food that's made in america is NOT the same as mexican food in mexico.....for example in china there are many people who do not know what fortune cookies are...they aren't a part of chinese culture....same applies here.....in traditional mexico...they are not a taco bell culture....real mexican food is probably rarely served at taco bell....or rarely made the true traditional mexican way
