Answer:
Because it is what they are accustomed to eating. It's all in how you ate and what you ate growing up...I don't care for curry but people from areas where curry was used regularly in cooking will enjoy foods where it is used.
u are what you eat
Its not what they perfer....its tradtion...they've probably grown up eating it so they are used to it.
what was introduced as a child is what you get used to what you call comfort food.
i prefer Vietnamese and Italian.
for many poor white trash its canned goods chips soda and fast food.
its not about race its about where and how you leaned to eat.
food preference is not race-related, it is a cultural thing. Why is it that pizza (originally an Italian creation) is sold in almost every community across the USA? And what about Chinese restaurants? I remember growing up in NYC, most Chinese restaurants had a Jewish customer base.
Because it tastes good. Try it yourself, you'd be surprised how good an enchilada can be when made correctly.

This is one of those things I never understood. For example, black people in America are often made fun of for liking chicken (generally speaking of course, not all of them do). And yet, chicken tastes good and nearly everyone of every race likes it in some form or other; but it has become a stereotype of black people--and that makes no sense to me. If food is good it doesn't matter what race you are, you just eat it.
well i love italian food nd that is probbaly coz my familys italian nd i was brought up with them foods
cause some things are just nasty................thats why you eat what u like
i dont know but some of em are right scruffy so n so's, like in them eastern countrys, you will have a beefburger, theyb will have a locust burger............. they will ! deers genitals, live bugs, some right stuff but saying that, at least they know what theyre eating, i bet you dont have a clue about somne of the **** your eating these days, all food is rubbish over here,
Hello well for one it's because if their parents NEVER exsposed them to OTHER foods from other places their not going to be Open to a new experiances. So they may be a lil hesitant for FEAR of " THEE UNKNOWN " lol and besides most races with the exception of Europians (caucasians), most of the african, indian(east, west,an american) asian, south american, american southerners, and others WE ALL cook with alot of different seasonings to please our palates.
So if we were to eat something that doesn't "taste like mother made it " we're NOT going to like it. I believe you should at least TRY IT before you discard it( with the exception of PORK!!)
I hope i at least gave you a little insight into some of the other races and i answered your question o-k.
many blessings, K
I'm chinese, I love Burger and Fries(Yummy) Also,Italian and French.
It is not so much a "racial" thing so much as a "cultural" thing, one person hit the nail on the head when they wrote "you are what you eat."

It is what you grow up with or what you become accustomed to. When I first married my wife over 20 years ago there was much about the family dinners in Mexico City which I didn't much care for. I didn't like the "moles," or the "chiliquilis," or the "chilis rellenos," or the damn cream on EVERYTHING, or the fact that EVERYBODY here, rich and poor just LOVE to eat at those horrible little street or roadside stalls. I REALLY didn't like the fiery green hot sauce they put on everything here.

After I had been living in the country for 6 years, something odd happened. I began to enjoy all those things which before I hadn't. I began to eat cream on things, I started to REALLY enjoy "moles" and "cochenita pibil," and "mixote" and "chili rellenos." I began to NEED green chili sauce on everything. (One day my wife said, "watch the green sauce, you make it way TOO HOT! To which my father in law quickly replied, "No, you don't!")

I even became the first one in the family to insist that we stop at the road side "puestos" on the way to Cuernavaca for tacos, deep fried quesadillas, tlacoyos, gorditas, panbazos and all the wonderful things which 22 years ago made my stomach churn to think about!

Two of my sisters in law have spoiled and pampered their kids to a crazy degree. The four kids whine and complain at every meal. One will eat only one brand of hot dog, another eats only chicken, ham and spaghetti, another won't eat any meat at all and yet another eats only meat! Its horrible to watch and every family meal my sisters in law go crazy trying to get these spoilt whiners just to eat a simple (always special) meal.

My son is now 12, since day one when he first objected to a food on his plate at around 2 years old, we made him a deal, "you can refuse anything you don't want, but you have to try it first."

(I'm from Vancouver and love to cook so we eat everything on Earth in our house, Mex-Mexican, Tex-Mexican, French, English, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Dutch, Irish, Thai, Russian, etc, etc)

My son, today eats everything. Hot spicy Mexican regional dishes, Chinese food (with chopsticks,) Indian curries, Japanese Sushi, Italian pestos, all seafood, whatever, down it goes. His family and friends are constantly astounded at what he will eat, but he grew up with it, he's never seen anything odd about any type of "ethnic" food, its just something new and interesting to try.......

Like I said, its not "racial" its "cultural" .......
It's not only cultural but a tradition based on geography. People used to eat what they could grow where they lived and developed their cuisine based on that. Now that's not true.
sometimes what a person eats is because of there religous background because jewish and hebrew eat certain foods because of there religous beliefs, the french and spainish have both influenced mexican cooking the United States is a melting pot with all kinds of influences from different countries there is tex mex and cajun for examples
