Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Why do my home grown Cucumbers tast sour???),it will help you,my kids.
I have a vegtable garden at home and last year along with this year my cucumbers have a real strong sour taste. I can't work out why this happens. Can you please suggest some possible causes for why this is happening? Thanks
Answer:
it can be very frustrating getting bad results from your kitchen garden, inspite of your best efforts.Try changing your brand of seeds,it maybe worth trying out several different brands in small quantities to see which suits your soil best.plant in a different
patch of soil & work in a good compost,(I'm only guessing here) A few container raised vines may be a good alternative.
Getting sour or bitter cucumbers seems to just happen from time to time. I suggest getting a variety of seed from a reputable company, and planting those in a different spot this year.
There is something in the soil that they are growing in that makes them taste that way. How do I know? ... Because my nieghbor had an orange tree and I tasted an orange from that tree...It was unlike any other orange I had ever tasted. Remarkable. It was so good that even after I moved away, I always go out of my way to go back to that tree for more. One day, when I was picking oranges from that tree the lady came out and said I could have all I wanted...I thanked her and asked her how in the world could these oranges taste so much better than any other I had ever tasted...She told me the secret...When the tree was planted she mixed a pound or two pounds ( I cant remember which) into the soil and that is what gave the friut the sweetest flavor. So .....My guess is that something (probably not something good) is in that soil. I would not eat them if I were you. Good luck and talk to you later.
I had the same problem, I put a camcorder in my garden, the type with nightvision, and discovered that not one, but 3 different tomcats were spraying my plants every night. I put up a 8 foot electric fence and now my cukes taste fine.
It is probably just a bad seeds.
try a different soil
