So we can charge an extra $3 without adding more food to the plate.

Since u order Chinese food gongbao shrimp u would have known jumbo.
yup i get you! they are just really bigger-than-usual shrimps but not big enough to become prawns. they all taste the same! :)
For the same reason that jumbo jets because they are bigger. Why do they call an aubergine an eggplant when eggs come from birds not plants? People are funny that way.
