Think of it this way-cows are sacred in India to some. How do you think they perceive Americans eating cow meat? I would rather hope that they would not eat these animals, but it is true, who are we to tell them what to do and what not to do? Maybe if we look at the reasons they are eating them, for example-if they are starving, well then maybe we could give them something else to eat, like cows.
Crossover viruses like H.I.V. are doing the job. Sadly aids is already killing major percentages of many African countries. Even if African countries wanted to stop the trade in "bushmeat", they do not have the manpower nor the resources to do it.

We should pressure, but we should provide them with other sources of protein. Pressure alone would not work unless you give and immediate alternative.

After you have enacted a plan to feed these millions of people & give them jobs, then the need for this law will be greatly reduced.
