kebab and doner are similar?
Answers:
Kebab is a marinated meat grilled on skewer.
I recommend the following recipe:
Cut 2 pounds of Lamb in 2 inch cubes
Mix With 8 Onions Sliced in THICK circles
Marinade overnight in 1/2 lemon juice / 1/2 Wine Vinegar
Place Meat and Onions on a Metal Skewer(I recommend very wide one) Alternating Meat and Marinated Onions.
Grill on the Charcoals
Enjoy!
P.S.
Doner Is kebab Meat cooked on a rotating platform served on the pita.
Other Answers:
kebab is great!! and the amazing thing is that it originates from my country !!! Lebanon, my country, is around 10452 km^2, but kebab is one of the most delicious plates on the lunch table. it mainly consists of a variety of spices spread over grilled meat and followed by tomatoe slices and small parsley cuts. onions and other tasty vegetables can be added to enrich the flavor.
i donnow about doner, but i know that kebab is irreplaceable.

Marinated meat and vegetables alternated on skewers and grilled or broiled and served with rice or pasta on the side
Kebab is any grilled meat (usually skewered). Doner, also called "gyro" and "doener", is also a kind of kebab - In Turkey it is often called "doner kebap". Doner means "turning" or "it turns" in Turkish: many layers of chunks of meat is skewered and is rotated in front of an open grill. Thin layers of meat are cut and served with bread, onions, and sometimes sauces.

check wikipedia for a lot more detail and an ongoing discussion on where kebabs and doners were originated from.
Kebabs are yummy. You should try it.
You really ought to travel to Germany and get yourself some kebab :)
It's available literally everywhere and it's really good actually! Usually doner (or d?ner) is considered to be the same as kebab (or kebap). The thin slices of meat are served with bread, rice, frenc fries, cream potatoes, sallad or with different sauces, f. ex. yoghurt sauce.
To hq3, Like your recipe. Might I suggest adding cherry tomatoes when you put the ingredients on the skewer?
