This'll sound CRAZY, but it's sooooo good! For a "Cars" theme meal, You should make a Car Tire Pizza Ring! Take a couple cans of refrigerator Crescent Roll dough and bring them to room temperature. Open one and overlap the triangles into a ring shape. Brush on some pizza sauce, put on pizza toppings (this is a cool way to hide finely chopped veggies!), some cheese, a little more sauce, and then top with the other can of dough triangles. Try to seal the dough as best as you can, but if there are some holes, it's okay. Bake at 375F until the top dough is golden brown and the cheese starts to ooze out the holes. Let cool completely. You may want a third can of crescent dough handy, just in case.

This next part is the weird part, but hang with me! Get yourself some BLACK paste food colouring. The best place to get this is a cake decorating store or a big craft store with a cake decorating department. You'll want paste instead of liquid because the paste colouring won't dilute. Next get yourself a pint of light mayonnaise and a pint of light sour cream. Mix these and add a "makes 32 ounces" size packet of Uncle Dan's Southern Dressing mix. WAY better than Hidden Valley Ranch mix, and it's stiffer, which is what you want for this recipe. Let sit at least an hour to let the flavours marry. Next, take two cups of the prepared dip mix and add as much black food colouring paste to make a light-to-medium grey dip. Frost this completely over the Pizza Tire. Then mix a couple tablespoons of the dip with enough of the paste food colouring to make a very dark grey dip. With a small plain tip in a pastry bag, pipe on tire tread designs, but not too many, as these are three-year-olds who may find that the dark grey stuff is fun to "paint" with. For the inside of the ring, make a removable "hubcap" out of cardboard sprayed with non-toxic silvery paint.

Have fun! Remember to ask for help from other mothers. This is your important day, just as it's your child's!
How about little tuna salad sandwiches cut into shapes like stars and stuff, by using a cookie cutter?

Hot dogs are always a favorite too.
You could make miniature hamburgers by making small patties that would fit on small brown'n'serve rolls. Mustard&ketchup and a dill pickle on each one.

You could make tiny little chicken nugget sandwiches on those small brown'n'serve rolls too. Just put a dab of butter on the roll and add a dill pickle!

You could serve potato salad or potato chips. Miniature corn on the cob would probably be a hit too. You know, made by Green Giant?

Pork'n'beans? Cheese sticks? Cole slaw?

Hmmmmmm..It should be pretty simple because kids like simple foods. Whatever you decide, I'm sure will be a hit.

Good luck! It sounds fun. Lol.
Come on Mom. You're talkin 3 yr olds. What else is there besides Mac and Cheese. Ya know that they will eat that and some organic chicken nuggets--baked not fried. No fake fruit juices for beverage cuz they are gonna get sugar out of the cake. I would go with good ol' milk or room temperature water.
pizza,p n j sandwiches, pretzels, that's enough with cake etc. this always worked 4 me. don't forget the kid games
You could make sandwiches in different shapes with cookie cutters. To make a tire, just use 2 different size circles (you could even use cups if you don't have cookies cutters) Then you can use a little food coloring in a spray bottle to make them black. You can also serve juice, just darken it and call it oil. Use your imagination and have fun.

Green Noodles and Ham Recipe courtesy Rachael Ray
Show: 30 Minute Meals
Episode: Half-Pint Cooks

1 (12 to 14-ounce) box spinach fettuccini pasta
Salt
1/4 pound prosciutto (Italian ham)
3 tablespoons butter (tablespoons are marked on the wrapper), cut into small pieces
1 cup cream
1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg, eyeball it
Black pepper
1 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano or Romano, plus even more to pass at table
1 cup frozen peas

Bring a large pot of water to a boil then add salt, a generous grab from your salt dish, to season up the pasta as it cooks. Carefully add pasta to water and stir then cook to al dente or until pasta is tender but it still has a bite to it in the center – in other words, do not cook it until it is mushy.
Cut ham into thin, short ribbon-like pieces and separate them into a loose pile. Kids not so good with knives can use kitchen scissors to cut the ham up.

Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter to the pan and melt it. Add 1 cup cream and warm it up a minute. Add about a cup of cheese, 4 big handfuls or so, and stir constantly for another minute then season the sauce with nutmeg (your SECRET ingredient) and pepper. Taste and add a little salt, if necessary.

Turn off heat under sauce and add the peas to it. They will warm through in no time. Next, drain the pasta. Kids should have Grown Helpers drain pasta for them. Toss pasta with sauce in the skillet and use tongs to help you pull pasta through sauce until it is coated evenly. Sprinkle in the ham and toss the pasta again to combine it. You can even add a little more cheese, if you say so.

Wow! Green noodles are even yummier than white ones when you add in the ham and cheese and peas! Yum-o!
