well I'm turning 16 in July but I don't know what kind of party I should have. But I have a problem I'm moving to another city and money for the big party that I always dreamed that I would have is not going to be there. A party in July? Sounds like the perfect time of the year for a Beach Party- Maybe set up game like vollyball, racketball and grill hotdog, burgers, veggiburgers and have a ball- who doesn't like goin' to the beach to party? It's fun and it's cheap!

Have a themed party-sounds stupid but that way everyone can dress up, you can play relevant music, and even decorate it like the theme!
It could be anything from goth to 60's to careers to beach partys. It gives you the opportunity to dress up so you can gave a lauhg, and it wont cost much cos everyone will bring their own cossys.
You could have a fancy dress and just choose a letter, eg, t - tudors, teddys, clebes beginning with t, tomotoes!!! etc
if you want it to cost even less get everyone to bring some food-a plate of cakes, cheese n pineapple, etc with them, and then you know that there is food for everyone,

You are lucky that your birthday is in the summer. One thing that you can do is have a theme bbq. Check out your local parks department on the internet. Many of them have pools, lakes, vollyball courts, etc. Find out how much it costs to rent a pavillion. If you rent a larger one they have grills, outlets, many have ceiling fans and refridgerators.
Then pick a theme. The key with the theme is to really run with it. For example you could do a Chinese theme.
Go online and buy all types of Chinese decorations. Lanterns, lights, etc.
For food make Americanized Chinese food.
All the meats can be seasoned in advance and then put on the grill. All of the recipes can be found online.
Chinese style spare ribs
Chinese bbq (Hoisin) grilled chicken
Beef sticks
Chinese 5 spice grilled shrimp (YUM!)
I suggest that you buy the side dishes.
Get a few quarts each of veggie, meat and house (usually contains meat, seafood and veggies) fried rice and lo mein. Grill veggie kebabs.
Buy or rent a large deep fryer for appetizers. Generally one that fries turkies works best for large groups.
Of course buy the crispy noodles.
Buy mini egg rolls, rangoon and wontons.
They take a short amount of time but are good hot or room temperature.
Make sure you have all the traditional dips.
Instead of a traditional cake have a mini cup cake tower with sweet sixteen piped on the top in Chinese.
For favors put your favorite candy, a fortune cookie, etc. in Chinese take out containers.
