"ex: i am writing a list of 30 things that he has helped me threw in life . my daughter is giving him 30 marbles in case he looses his. and my 2 year old 30 spices to spice things up. his wife is doing the same, his 2 kids and our parents as well. we are playing 30 games, going to dinner and having a good old family night. he is not much of a drinker so he will injoy this."

Favors that you can eat are a must!! Any favor that any of us have gotten over the years has gone in our "junk" drawer....so I say give chocolate!!! You can get specialty chocolates in the shape of the number 30!!
When is this party? Have you tried the party store? Why not just have it at the place you are going. I just turned 30 myself and I got all kind of free gifts. I knew I wanted to go to both PF chang's and the cheese cake factory so I did my partying there.

What about sharing past memories together by having a DVD Slideshow put together. I have given these before for numerous occasions and they are always a hit.
