Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days, anyone help us?
Kitty said: Yes.Any suggestions for things to put in a goody bag for a party themed 'movie night-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Any suggestions for things to put in a goody bag for a party themed 'movie night),it will help you,my kids.
My firends' 10 year old daughter is having a birthday party, and the theme is 'movie night'. So we were thinking of what to put in the goodybag. Something like a miniature camera or something, keeping in mind it shouldn't be too expensive, and in relation to the theme. Any suggestions? Also any suggestions for the type of props we can have, like maybe a cut out of james bond?
Answer:
great theme. I would put bags of microwave popcorn, maybe a kiddie DVD - Finding Nemo or something like that. Action figures from movies - Yoda, Spongebob etc. A mini camera woild be nice if you can afford it
Boxes of the chocolate non pareils (Nestle Sno-caps)
You can find them relatively cheap at Walmart for $1 per box.
Boxes of mike n' ikes, etc.
I would contact your local movie theater to find cardboard cut out props, sometimes they just throw them away- especially if it is an unpopular movie.
I use a large new popcorn bowl and place two of the childs favorite movies on dvd( you can find them in the discount rack at Walmart), two or three bags of microwave popcorn, a disposable camera, a can of spray string. Wrap it in clear plastic and put a shimmery bow on it.
little bags of popcorn, some candy, a little camera would be cute, maybe some kind of movie theater gifd card(that might get expensive) or maybe stickers that have to do with kids movies spongebob, cat in the hat;etc.
Goody bag: a package of microwave popcorn, a box of junior mints, maybe a voucher for a free rental at Blockbuster (go up there and see, they sometimes have coupons you can use for those kinds of occasions)
I know this is kinda weird, but anytime I actually take the time to have a "movie night" for myself, I like to get comfy, so maybe you could find some cute fuzzy socks or something to put in there (Walmart has some cute "girly" ones for around 2 dollars decked out all Valentine-style)
I am having the same kind of birthday in about a month and asked the same question~
I really didn't get any creative responses... I have popcorn boxes that I bought at Target for about 2.00, I was thinking the mini bags of popcorn(popsecret) and a box of candy and I am pretty much at a loss of what else! Any good ideas let me know!
For props-I have movie posters but you can get sunglasses and fake boas at the dollar store for them to dress as "movie stars"
Also we are setting up a "concession" stand with popcorm candy, corndogs, nachos, hot pretzels and giving them "fake" money to purchase them
definately microwave popcorn, notepad, pen stickers, hairties, wallet anything to do with the theme of the movie, make the game, pin the ---
on the---out of a poster or picture from a magazine, just use tape instead of pins, you should be able to get everything at the dollar store,i like the ladys idea of the socks, you can get them at the dollar store too,as well as matching cups, plates ,have fun!

How about a gift certificate for a free rental at a local video store? How about candies along the line of those at the movie theater: snow caps or twizzlers or chocolate covered peanuts and raisins?
If you go to your local video rental place, it may be like ours and they may give away or sell for a buck the big movie posters that they use to decorate when new releases come out on video and DVD. This is a cheap, easy way to decorate. Other good props are fake gold trophies (the plastic versions of Oscars) that you can get just about anywhere.
Some times movie store will have old displays - Try calling around and see if any would have some left overs they would be willing to donate. As for the party favors, popcorn buckets would be cute filled with candy and soda. Blockbuster sells the microwavable popcorn buckets. Sounds like fun :)
mini bags of microwave popcorn
gift card to rent a movie at your local video place
make tickets that they will need to use for an activity
any candy - dots, milk duds, junior mints, nibs
an accessory such as sunglasses or a scarf - then they can play charades using their accessory
props - director chair, that thing that they use to snap when saying action with the act and scene information on it
For goody bags:
Blockbustersells a tub of microwave popcorn (looks like that tub you get in the theater) get one of those for each kid & add a candy too. Dollar Tree sells "movie size" boxes or Jr. Mints etc.
Party stores usually carrt the card bord boxes & cups for popcorn too. Add the candy & a little toy thst relates to the movie that they wil be watching at the party.
For decorations:
Some places rent those life size standups
anything that relates to the movie you they are watching.
how about small bags of mircowave popcorn and a can of soda/water/tea.
Orientaltrading.com is a great place for party supplies. They carry plenty of inexpensive items. You can purchase movie themed treat bags that come with sunglasses, keychains that look like the black and white director's clapboard, miniature Oscar statues, clappers, etc . Each bag is $4.95. A must have for the birthday party is red carpet for all the guests to walk on when they arrive. At the end of the carpet set up a special "photo shoot" location where each guest can be photographed with the birthday girl.
I saw the cutest gift bags at Dollar Tree the other day - they were the red and white striped bags that said popcorn on the side (like they have in the movie theaters - except they were glossy gift sacks. They sold them in bags of 12 for a $1.00 - that would be so cute and then fill them with the mini-candy bars, little boxes of candy (like they sell at the movies), maybe some 3-D glasses, and a bag of popcorn with red shiny shreds. If it is all girl party - a $1.00 boa from Dollar General per child along with a pair of movie star sun glasses - would be so cute to give as party favors.
