Answer:
This works for me ....meat loaf, garlic mashed potatoes ,green beans. Then have a cup cake.
a soup or stew
Vegatable stew (hopefully you don't have kids)
Easy to make!!!

12 baby carrots, or 2 mature carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
1/2 cup snow peas
6 radishes, including 1/2” of the stem, halved
18 3-inch young asparagus tips
6 scallions, cut into 3-inch lengths, including green parts
2 broccoli stems, thickly peeled and sliced diagonally
4 small turnips, peeled and cut into sixths
4 tablespoons polyunsaturated margarine or butter
4 thyme sprigs
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
10 sorrel leaves, sliced into ribbons (optional)
1 tablespoon snipped chives
2 teaspoons finely chopped parsley
1 teaspoon chopped tarragon

It's a long trip to the gorocery store but worth the trip! If you feel this isn't the best night to do this just microwave some canned soup, taste good as well.
Comfort Food
Everyone has their own definition of comfort foods, each of which bring back pleasant emotions and feelings of warmth. From main dishes to desserts, this comfort food recipe is sure to please. This is a recipe for Macaroni & Cheese Primavera.

Ingredients
1 16-ounce package frozen cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots
6 ounces pasta such as bow ties, corkscrew macaroni, or elbow macaroni
1-1/4 cups milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon bottled hot pepper sauce
8 ounces sharp American cheese, cut into small cubes or shredded
4 ounces process Swiss cheese slices, torn or shredded
1 4-ounce can sliced mushrooms, drained (optional)
2 cups soft bread crumbs (about 2-1/2 slices)
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
Snipped fresh parsley (optional)

Directions
1. Cook vegetables and pasta separately according to package directions; do not overcook. Drain each well.

2. Return pasta to hot pan. Stir in milk, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce. Bring to boiling; remove from heat. Add American and Swiss cheeses, stirring to melt. Cool.

3. Place cooked vegetables and, if desired, mushrooms on the bottom of an ungreased 2-quart rectangular baking dish. Spoon macaroni and cheese on top of vegetables. For crumb topper, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and paprika. Stir in margarine until combined. Sprinkle on top of casserole. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree F oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until heated through. Makes 6 servings.

Make-Ahead Tip: Prepare casserole but do not bake. Cover with foil; seal, label, and freeze up to 4 months. (Or, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.) When ready to serve, if frozen let thaw in refrigerator overnight. Remove foil or plastic wrap. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree F oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until heated through and golden brown. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired.
I've been selling this dish all night.

Quite comforting

Untidy Samuels

Probably more widely known as Sloppy Joes, these can be made with ground beef or ground turkey. This homemade version is light years ahead of anything you can buy in an envelope or can, and really just as easy. I like to serve these with paper-thin slices of red onion.

Ingredients
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
1 medium yellow onion, peeled and chopped fine
1/2 cup best-quality ketchup
1/2 cup best-quality chili sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon coarse salt
freshly cracked black pepper
1/3 cup water
6 sesame seed topped hamburger buns, warmed

Method
Brush a skillet with oil and warm over moderate heat, 30 seconds. Add beef [or turkey] and onion and sauté 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Add all remaining ingredients [except buns] and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Spoon mixture between split buns and serve immediately.
What about some chicken and dumplings.
you should have stuffed chicken breast and bisc.
Well, you asked this six hours ago, so I hope you had a nice comforting dinner! Next time, how about corn chowder? Yum!
Chinese. I'm glad U asked. That's what I will have today. Goes really well with a glass of wine.
