Answer:
Most party or crafts stores should have leis as well as little umbrellas for drinks. You can probably find supplies at these locations to make grass skirts for all your guests.
Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs
* 3 tablespoons soy sauce
* 3 tablespoons brown sugar
* 2 tablespoons sherry
* 1 tablespoon sesame oil
* 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
* 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
* 8 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 2 inch pieces
* 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
* skewers
DIRECTIONS
1. In a shallow glass dish, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, sherry, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic powder. Stir the chicken pieces and pineapple into the marinade until well coated. Cover, and marinate in the refrigerator at least 2 hours.
2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
3. Lightly oil the grill grate. Thread chicken and pineapple alternately>flowers(gardenias,hibiscus,jas... etc...( with your neighbors permission...LOL!). You can also "personalize" your food displays with " fake-coconut halves" for dipping sauces (found at your local "party-supply"). "Fondue" is also great! Lots of cubed "fresh fruits, chicken/fish"? Don't forget, "luau's" are a "hands-on feast"! So, put on that "grass-skirt", leave your shoes at the door.........Mahalo! XOXO Moonpie

food id go with shish-ka-bob, only need alittle meat chopped up on skewers. no budget a pig roast!
The dollar store has great hawaiian favors!!
Do what Hawaiians do. Spread out several large colorful towels with some overlap so everyone can flop in a face to face large circle outside under a palm (check to confirm no coconuts can fall on anyone). Into every face and arm reach drop several eighteen can cases of warm cheap brews.
Then, after every can has been killed, work it off by with rough horseplay, loud colorful cursing, and being hungover later.
If hungry, go break into hotel lobby vending machines.
