Answer:
This is just a cute quick idea for anybody probably ages 10-teen The night before you are hosting your party go to the supermarket and buy a bunch of icecream and a bunch of toppings.INVITATIONS- Anything colorful and creative:You probably want to involve something with icecream on the invite. If the kids are younger you might want to tell them to bring old clothing. Before the party fill a spacious room with 2-3 tables and you put disposable table cloths onto each table.Depending on how many kids there are that is how many tables you will need. On each table put any size pan but all the pans should be the same size. On each table put 2-3 tubs of any flavor ice cream the kids enjoy. Put the same amount and the same kinds of icecream toppings on the table and appliances (like spoons plastic or not)When the kids arrive (at about five) dont let them in that particular room yet because you will want to keep it a surprise for the other kids or your kid if it is a surprise. Have everyone gather into a different room than the one with the tables and just let them hang out until 5:15. After that if you have a pool let them swim for about an hour.(until 6:20) and then have them come in for dinner (pizza or anything you want it depends on how everyone likes food or what kinds of food they like)After dinner it will probably be about 6:45-6:50 and gather the kids into the room with the tables and split them into 2-3 teams depending on how many kids are coming. Tell them they have a certain amount of time to make an ice cream cake(I'D SAY ABOUT 45 MINUTES)at the end of those 45 minutes everyone will vote for which cake is more good looking and that will be the cake they have for the persons birthday. When thats done at about 7:50 let the kids get dressed again and take them outside at eight where there will be music and a bar with drinks like soda and lemonade whatever the kids like and snacks if you want you can make up fake money for the kids to purchase that kind of stuff. Dance the night away until about eleven go inside and open your gifts and at eleven thirty change back into your bathing suit and go for a late night swim until 12:45 settle into a jacuzzi or go inside. When your inside change into your pjs. set up your sleeping bags pop in a movie and make popcorn and have a tiny piece of the other cake.play truth or dare or paint nails or do facials until everyone falls asleep. The first one to fall asleep will have a bunch of practical jokes played on them. In the morning have a breakfast buffet and you could swim again too. Give each girl a body lotion and lipgloss. Have their parents come at 12p.m.
Well you just need to do the things that you like to do. If you are just inviting people your age then do things that you guys like to do.
Good luck and happy birthday.
Why don't u find a boyfriend, he'll show u how 2 celebrate it in the best way
Water ballon fights...or just..do Manicures and Pedicure with your friends and watch chick flicks....
Have it at a skating rink or bowling alley
just have people over and play dumb games liek twister or DDR...who cares what ur doin as long as ur havin fun...play a little music and do somethin stupid like have a dance compotition ya kno? I mean come on...you only live once...so live it up good!!! =)
My kids at this age usually chose to order pizza and rent a movie... had snack foods and sodas...
If you have DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) or can rent it... that's a blast!
If it's a small party with just a few girls, consider doing a baking or cupcake decorating party... where you bake the cupcakes and then have all sorts of candies and gummy things to decorate your own cupcake.
This time of year, another thought would be to have a Christmas ornament decorating party where everyone gets a plain satin ball ornament to decorate and you have pins and beads and thin ribbons to decorate your ornaments and all it requires is a quick trip to the craft store for supplies. Play Christmas music and eat cookies while you work :)
There are also wooden ornaments you can get to paint and you can just get one brush for each color and pass the colors around the table as needed instead of trying to have all those little cups of water all over the table to spill out.
In any event... I hope your day is happy :)
Spa time!!! Raid your bathroom! Find anything and everything you can for special treatments. You can do pedicures, manicures, facial masks and hair treatments. You can buy all the stuff you will need at Wal Mart dirt cheap. Buy a moisturizing bubble bath for foot soak. Buy or use some foot massagers, pumice stone or anything you can find. Use up all your collected lotion samples for when you are doing the manicures and pedicures or use lotions you have on hand at home. The only other thing you need for the mani and pedi is nail polish and a nail file. Buy a cheap facial mask or use ones you have around the house. Have some finger food and drinks. There you go!! Have a bunch of fun.
Have a jewelry making party. Buy all kinds of beads, fish wire or thin leather ropes to string them, clasps. You can usually get these items at your local dollar store
Have a pyjama party. Rent scary movies, do makeovers & stay up all night. Make sure your parents and your friends' parents are OK with this first!
The important thing is that you all have fun. Happy b-day
We had a Harry Potter party when my kids were that age, and it didn't cost very much money at all.
First, we had "Diagon Alley" when the kids arrived to the party. We set up "shops" and gave each guest a bag full of "galleons" to buy things with. (I just used pennies for the galleons)
At Diagon Alley the kids could buy:
*Wands (we painted sticks and glued on glitter)
*Class books (I printed some spells that I found online)
http://hparchive.tripod.com/spells.html...
*Pets (we had Beanie babies and other stuffed animals that the kids could "rent" for the day... owls, snakes, mice, and other mystical animals)
*Witch or Wizard Hats (made from black construction paper)
*Quills (pens or pencils with feathers attached to the end)
We divided the kids into Houses with a sorting hat. (They just sat in the middle of the circle with a witch's hat on, and I announced which house they would be in... Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw)
After that we had classes. We divided the kids up because we had a few adults to help. If you don't have many adults, you might want to keep them all together.
The classes were:
*Potiens~ I had several flavors of Kool-aid pre-mixed in pitchers or bottles on the table. The kids used these to make their own individual potiens, which they mixed in paper cups. (Of course they had to drink whatever they mixed!)
*Divination~ We made Fortune Tellers (sometimes called "Cootie Catchers") http://www.girlpower.gov/girlarea/gamesp...
*Herbology~ The kids planted seeds in paper cups. (This was in April though, so you may not want to do this one in December!)
*Transfiguration~ We played "charades" (The kids "transfigured" into whatever the paper said they were supposed to be)
Then we ate cake, opened presents and watched one of the Harry Potter videos.
I hope you have a happy birthday... whatever you decide to do!
Let them make their own stuff! For example, look around the house and see what types of odds and ends you have then go to the craft store and get fun supplies like glitter, yarn, tissue paper, be creative! This activity will allow them to come up with their own imaginative creations!
You can also let them decorate their own cup cakes or make their own sandwiches. I do teach cooking and I love doing this because kids do come up with the coolest things.
