In a seperate pot bring a cup or so of heavy cream to a low simmer. Ladle in the broken chowder bit by bit while rapidly stirring it with a wire whisk. If you add too much at once the fats won't suspend properly. It is best when the broken chowder is cold. A double-boiler or crockpot is also a good idea for any cream based soups. Good luck.
once t is broken you wil probably not be able to fix it. in the future do not allow it to boil after adding the mlk or cream.
