Answer:
We made fruit pizzas and put them on plate holders as back drops on the table. They had designs of flowers on each. Also there is also the watermelon basket of mixed fruit. String grapes together as if they are vines.
For my sisters wedding we had a variety of greens on the table and celery stalks with ribbons. My mother carved radishes and squash into flowers(bought carrot chips), put them on sticks and stuck them in the bread bowl filled with dip.
For desert we also did dirt pudding with roses stuck in it. It looked just like flowers until we dug in.
As far as how to do it you're going to need carving knives and cookie cutters. Oh and a lot of time and imagination.
Use bamboo skewers and cookie cutters. Layer different fruit shapes to make flowers. Starfruit is great because of the obvious shape and then add like a ball of watermelon as the center. Make sure to dip whatever fruit turns brown in lemon juice and keep everything cold.

WATERMELON FRUIT BOWL
INGREDIENTS
1 large watermelon
1 cantaloupe, halved and seeded
1 honeydew melon, halved and seeded
2 (15 ounce) cans mandarin oranges, drained
2 (20 ounce) cans pineapple chunks, drained
2 cups halved fresh strawberries
2 cups seedless grapes
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons grated lemon zest
DIRECTIONS
With a large, sharp knife, remove the top 1/4 section of the watermelon. With a melon baller, scoop flesh from inside of watermelon, removing as many seeds as possible. Leave 1/2 inch of flesh inside the shell of the watermelon. Scoop cantaloupe and honeydew in the same manner, removing as much flesh as possible, and discarding the rinds. Refrigerate fruits separately until ready to assemble.
In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, bring water and sugar to a boil. Remove from heat, and continue stirring until sugar has completely dissolved. Add lemon zest, and set aside to cool.
To serve, place watermelon balls, cantaloupe, honeydew, oranges, pineapple, strawberries, and grapes, in a large mixing bowl. Pour syrup over, and toss thoroughly. Transfer mixture to watermelon bowl, and serve. Set aside any fruit mixture that will not fit. There will be enough fruit to refill the bowl.
This is a neat idea. Get a giant glass or plastic martini glass. Pile it high with green and red grapes on their vines and hanging over the side. Arrange other fruit around it, sprinkle with mixed fresh berries. Then to top it off, take strawberries (with the tops on) and slit them a little way off of one side and hang on the edge of the glass. Garnish with mint or basil sprigs.
Put that all in the middle of your platter of meat and cheese or fruit, or just on your table as a centerpiece. My boss loved this idea!

Gut a watermelon and cut the rind into a basket shape then make melon balls from the melon and honeydew and cantalope and use the fruit balls and grapes (all 3 types for more color) to fill the basket.
