u gut out the insides after u cutt the top off but i would say that the top of the pineapple would suck to have
I think there is a tool you can buy to push down and twist out the insides.
carve it out like a pumpkin, and put a straw in it :)
cut the top off & take the inside of it out.
cut off the top part of a pineapple. scraped out all the insides of the pineapple. mix your drink. pour it into the pineapple and srink away.
We use to do that a lot. Cut the top off and use the core tool that cuts out the inside of the pineapple. After that freeze the pineapple.
Make a great beverage container and can be used over and over again
cut the top off - gut it out - fill
Cut the top off,
Take a melon baller and scoop out the middle (keep a thick layer to hold liquid) you can save the little bits of inside for a fruit salad later,
If there are rough patches don't worry it's going to be filled with liquid anyway,
Add your favorite mixed drink etc,
You can re-apply the top until ready to drink

The skin can be VERY tough.. I have heard of people using hacksaws to cut them before.. But I did find an example of the coring tool mentioned by the previous poster. About $17 plus shipping.
