I visited this restaurant and purchased a dish called baked tortellini w/sausage...it was like a lasagna, but better, i would like to try and make myself, can anyone help me?
Answer:
Super easy! This is a perfect dish for a beginner.
Ingredients:
- Package of prepared tortellini
- 1/2 Package of italian sausage (raw)
- 1 jar favorite spaghetti sauce
- 8 oz. shredded mozarella
- 4 oz. grated parmesan
Prepare the tortellini as indicated on package. While the tortellini is cooking, cut up the sausage into 1 inch slices and saute on medium heat in frying pan until cooked through. Drain the tortellini. In a oven proof baking dish, mix together the tortellini, sausage, spaghetti sauce and 1/2 pkg of mozarella. Spread mixture evenly in dish. Sprinkle with the remaining mozarella and then with the grated parmesan. Place dish in oven and bake at 350 degrees until cheese is warm and bubbly.
Good luck!
make it just as u would lasagna instead of lasagna noodles use tortellini.... simple enough?? = )
here's a recipe...you could use a meat marina instead, or fry up sausage and add it to the sauce before baking.

I can find whatever I am looking for on these sites; maybe you will too.
Go to your grocery store's frozen food aisle, grab some frozen tortellini and some frozen meatballs. Then grab some spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese in their respective areas. Go home, cook the pasta till done, and microwave the meatballs. Chop up meatballs. Mix drained pasta, meatball pieces, sauce, and top with cheese in an oven safe dish. Heat at 350 degrees till cheese is bubbly- 10 minutes or so, keep your eye on it. This is easy to customize to your personal tastes by varying the tortellini flavors or sauce flavor. Or instead of mozzarella on top use parmesan.
Hope this works out for you.
Try this one- it sounds close to what you are looking for. It is very easy to make and very good! You can use meatballs or cut up italian sausage (precooked) I use turkey meatballs to keep the calories in check but would not hesitate to use italian turkey sausage.
