I love pineapple and I could lose a couple pounds so I was wondering if anybody knew about a pineapple diet that works.
Answer:
As someone who is related to a nutritionist, I can tell you that this diets are not good at all: it might lead to anorexia and other eating disorders: You do lose weight but you don't feed yourself as you should.
"Does the diet radically skew your eating habits, such as the "pineapple diet," the "cottage cheese diet," etc.? Diets which restrict a person's choices generally are doomed from the start. If adhered to for a long time, they can't provides sufficient nutrition. "

not sure if theres a pineapple diet per se, but eating it helps digestion, so its a good idea to eat it after every meal, and especially after big meals like say thanksgiving
MY friend ate pineapples for about several months with few meat and she lost weight
It does work but you gain it right back after you get off the diet. I did it many years ago
Of course there is.
There is a fad diet for anything...
Your best bet, however, is to incorperate it into a 'balanced' diet.
And of course, excercise doesn't hurt.
This is coming from someone with more a couple of pounds to lose, granted...but the logic is true and I really should practice what I preach. Then again, I'm not trying to lose any poundage :p
Anyhow, PLEASE do not subject your body to any such fad diets. If you're that into pineapple, just incorperate it into your food pyramid.
Good luck!
it'll probably work, but i don't think it's very healthy eating only pineapples. you should include vegetables, fish, and bread, so you'll get the nutrients you need and you'll have plenty of energy.
There was a diet popular in the 80s called The Beverly Hills Diet that recommended lots of fruit and I think pineapple was one of the fruits that the author thought was most beneficial. You can probably find a copy of the book on eBay.
don't think so
Pineapples are supposed to naturally burn off your fats... having said that, there is also a lot of sugar, which will trigger off your insuline, hence preserve your fats... best to eat them after you have digested a meal. To eat them all the time is not good as the fruit does not provide you with all the nutruients you need.
Do I make sense ? my advice for what it's worth, eat varied, drink lots of water.
