i am cooking duck breasts and sweet patato for my chap tonight, he loves mushrooms, i dont, what can i do with them to make them a nice addition on the side??
Answer:
This is what i would do. I also love mucrooms. I'm a fung guy. Sorry bad joke. Slice them up. Lay the on the plate in a neat pile. And pour some olive oil over them. Not to much. Just about a tea spoon full. And just like what your fella is going to think of you when he walks in the room and you are waiting for him with his dinner. Lovly. Us men need more woman like you. He's a lucky lad. Have a good time.
dice it and saute in butter for 3 to 4 minutes
Make a nice salad and put them on the side for him to put into his own salad. I'm just like you I cannot stand them and there is no way that I would add them to my food either.
follow bootleg's directions but add onion if you like onion.
sweethaert mushroom tastes gud in ne case may b if u cook it in little wine it will taste awesum............. wt say??
poke them up ur bum bum
Make a tempura batter (get recipe via Google)
Dip & deep fry
Saute in garlic, butter and tarragon.
Fry them in garlic. Yum!
Butter Lemon Juice And A Little Crushed Garlic saute for 2 mins and serve yummmmmmmm
Why don't you deep fry them in vegetable oil and a flour/water batter with a little salt, pepper, and garlic?
I like them chinese style (and they will go well with duck)
Saute your mushrooms gently in a little oil, with a bit of chopped spring onion and chopped ginger if you like, don't let them go soggy, then mix in a spoonful of soya sauce, mixed with a small amount of cornflour slaked in water, heat until the "sauce" thickens. Garnish with chopped spring onion green and serve.
anything salad rice curry soup even ice cream jokes lol
Eat them,they are so nice
This is a nice mushroom starter, very small button mushrooms boiled for 3mins in white wine ( half wine glass full) add cut up ham and hand full of red mature cheese, carton of double cream and reheat untill hot and cheese has melted... he will love it and love you forever
sauted with butter and garlic or leave out the garlic
sauted with butter toss in sum spinnach add pasta and cream...yum
if you are going to add them to a salad , but do not like the "raw" earthy taste to it , dice them and soak them in a bit of oil, vinegar (balsamic) an a bit of lemon juice : the acid in the vinegar and lemon will partially "cook" them as well as add flavour to it .. yummy
per 250 g mushrooms 1-2 rasher(s) smoked if possible, 1/2 small onion, oil and butter
Cut rashers into small stripes, fry until glassy in hot oil, turn down heat, sautee onions until glassy, add mushrooms, finish on low heat. Season with pepper. (no extra salt needed, the rashers have plenty)
You can add this to the sauce/gravy or serve as a side dish.
Hi,slice thinly, put in foil filled with garlic sauce, and place under the grill for 15 mins, super tasty
Make a pate by putting the mushrooms in a processor then drying them in a large pan over heat until spreadable. Add garlic salt a little butter and go
fry a sliced onion, until golden, add sliced mushrooms and a little butter, a little hot pepper sauce, tomato puree, black pepper and salt, you have a side gravy. serve with plain rice.
A classic (and simple) french side dish- garlic mushrooms. Heat a good amount of butter on a baking tray, once all the mushrooms have been wiped with a cloth (to rmove any grit etc) place them head down on the baking tray. Spinkle finely chopped garlic into the underside of each mushroom (how much, you decide) and then dot each mushroom with more butter. Now place in a hot oven (175 C) for 15-20 min (depending on the size of the mushroom). Enjoy while hot and dripping butter!
stuff them with cheese, breadcrumbs and some ham bits and microwave with some olive oil drizzled over.. add some ground pepper and a sprig of parsley and it will look so professional!!
stick them on your own breasts
rice tea rolls salad
It's probably too late for dinner, here's a great way to use them. Slice them up, saute in butter with garlic. Dump in a jar of alfredo sauce, serve over drained pasta.
And if you wanted to pick out the mushrooms, you could eat it too!
put them in a bin! total waste of time and I hate the bloody things!
GO TO B.C. AND PICK YOUR OWN ,LET THEM DRY AND SERVER THEM TO YOUR GUESTS , THEY WILL THANK YOU AT YOUR NEXT DINNER
have a bash at these
Keep it simple. Wash, drain and slice 10 ounces of white crimini or baby bella mushrooms [common in any supermarket].
Heat a small amount of butter in a small frying pan on medium/high. Add the mushrooms, and season with liberal shakes of onion powder and garlic powder. Saute until they turn dark and reduce in size. Salt lightly. Drain and serve, either on the plate as a side dish, or on top of the ducks breasts if you don't have a fancy sauce like Cumberland prepared.
Good luck. It sounds like a wonderful meal.
you can stuff them. Get allouete cheese and stuff the middle of muchrooms with it. Then sprinkle breadcrumbs on it. It's delicious!
