My girlfriend likes chewing gums. She was chewing two gums together while accidentally swallowed them. It won't digest, exactly. The things in the digestive tract will not do much to the gum to extract nourishment, since there isn't much there. Chewing gum is made of a material which is mostly vegetable matter and mostly inert in the stomach and intestines. It may dissolve or it may not. Either way, it will eventually pass through without harm of any kind. She felt the gum simply because of the size as it passed down to her stomach, even after it was gone. This happens al the time, You have felt the same when you swallow something very hot or very cold possibly. You feel the sensation for a while after it has passed. Don't worry about it. IF it was a problem, I know a lot of kids, me included when I was a little, who swallowed lots of gum and we all seem to still be alive and kicking...
