HE WANTS A POT THAT HE CAN PUT OVER THE FIRE AND LET IT COOK THAT WAY, BUT I CAN NOT LOCATE ONE ANYWHERE. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE CALLED OR WHERE WE CAN GET ONE!!
Answer:
Stock Pots... Wal Mart usually carries them...
Try a restaurant supply store
If you go to a restaurant supply store they will have one. I know, my family owned a restaurant.
Get a cast iron pot. Walmart, Target, your local hardware store, some grocery stores or food halls have them as well.
Use a preserving kettle. I use that kind of pot for huge soups that I subsequently freeze in small quantities & warm up as needed.
My largest pot that would work is a huge LeCreuset because it has a wide bottom. My pasta pots are more upright. I've seen some gigantic cast iron ones for over a fire. You could try www.superprod.com they're a good commercial restaurant product place. I've ordered a lot from them.
A three legged cast iron pot...and it has a handle over the top for hanging over a fire..there are some great ones on ebay!
i don't know where you live but you could try a pressure-cooker.
Macy's, Sears or even JC Penny. Target or Walmart. if you live in then NY area then i know where you can get on for Cheap $20.00
Go buy you a pot and burner for frying turkeys. Thate pot is enormous..You might be able to find it at wal-mart and camping stores......
