Better Homes and Garden limited Edition Cookbook
Answer:
If you followed the recipe, and I use the same one you are using, then your problem is in the temperature you use to cook the crepe. Turn up the temp., a little at a time, until you get to your desired result.
Good luck. I love crepes. I have a crepe maker, so I never have a problem. I think they are really cheap. You can get them at a cooking store.
use real butter and add it to the tops before cooking
Use real butter or just follow the recipe and don't flip till they are lightly browned.
turn the heat up more
get a blow touch that will brown or burn anything
Yes, not hot enough, I use a flat electric griddle, and get it so that when you spash a little water on it, it sizzles. That's hot enough.
They are not supposed to be "brown" just kinda beige.
If you brown the crepes more than LIGHTLY, they will be
to dry and really not gain any flavor.
Crepes are to be just golden, then flipped over lightly.
Stick with the cookbook.
They'll be the best.
good luck
