Answer:
http://entertaining.about.com/od/kidspar... has a wealth of links and ideas. The links on the left in red are clickable and if you scroll down on the link it even has a heading for 1 year olds
How about the madagascar theme with penguins and the lion the
donkey hippo and girraffe. With the "I like to move it" song try this link for more info on the cartoon

But if you wanna try an alternative theme I reccommend the spongebob square pants theme
Try the Oriental Trading Company they have just about everything

you should go to party city if not then go to wal-mart or place like that and see what happens. if not look in yellow pages or something. sorry i am not a professional. i am just trying to help.
What a cute idea! You could check out the Disney Shop. Also, what about suggesting the kids come dressed in little safari outfits and have a prize for the cutest costume? Hire someone to dress up like jungle animals. Costumes should be cheap, since Halloween just ended. Serve jungle juice to the parents and make a cardboard cut out of a jungle scene with little holes cut out for the kids to stick their heads in and take photos. Jungle sounds playing in the background.

Jungle food ideas:
bananas and peanut butter
ants on a log (carrots with peanut butter and raisins)
tropical fruit smoothies
dye french bread dough green and make in the shape of a snake and give him little olive eyes (a bakery could do this)
You could serve Monkey Bay (a NZ brand wine to the parents)

.
You can make monkey bread. Thaw some frozen bread dough. Cut into balls. Coat with butterscotch pudding mix and cinnamon. Let rise in a bundt pan and then bake.
Get a green tablecloth (paper is good) and decorate the table with different animal stickers. Get a few animal pieces from the party store and hang them up around the party room. Buy a few colorful balloons too or you can blow up your own when you rent a helium tank or buy those ones that you use once and dispose of (they sell those at Wal-Mart, Target, etc...) and For plates, you can buy the zoo pals paper plates and utensils at Wal-Mart. The kids will be able to each get a different animal. Serve fruit punch or Sunny Delight.

For the cake, make an elephant cake. Usually you can find how to do this on the internet. And surround it with peanut butter cookies (if no one is allergic to them). And make little cupcakes with animal cookies and sprinkles on top. I bought my cupcakes from Sam's Club (they come in about 24) and paid about $25. for them. You can pick and choose how to have them decorated in their bakery.

Hope this helps you!
DECORATIONS:

Get thick twine from the hardware store. Purchase silk leaves from a craft store. Stick the leaves to the twine and hang from the ceiling or light fixtures. Drape accross to give the effect of monkey ropes. Get a stuffed monkey and hang it from one of the ropes.

Cover the table in burlap. Get grass hula skirts from a party store and attach to the entire edge of the table to make a skirt. Here and there, glue purple orchids or another jungle like flower to the grass skirting.

Get cheap animal print fabric from the fabric store (such as leapoard) and wrap the back of the chairs.

FOOD:

Hollow a watermelon and make a colorful fruit salad with bananas

Make a cake and frost in zebra stripes of black and white.

Make animal cupcakes....there are many pictures and ideas on the internet

For snacks serve bowls of peanuts.

GAMES (for the older kids)

Pin the tail on the giraffe

Draw or get a picture of a lion and put it on a box....cut a whole for its mouth and let the kids feed it marshmallows

Get cards and write things on them like "laugh like a hyena" or "make and elephant sound" and have kids pick one.

Last....get a tape of the music from Jungle Book and play it in the background

HAVE FUN!
