Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days, anyone help us?
Kitty said: Yes.Need help turning the pool deck into a Pirate Ship and making 'em walk the p-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Need help turning the pool deck into a Pirate Ship and making 'em walk the p),it will help you,my kids.
Every year we have a luau - and it rains without fail. So this year I said I wasn't planning a luau, I know it will rain. But everyone still wanted a party - so we decided it would be an awful lot of fun to hold a pirate party - rain or shine. Especially since most of the guests will be adults. We have a few teens and a couple kids also. So we want it to be fun for the adults but definitely G-rated.
Does anyone have ideas?
One of my main questions is should the women be pirates too or is there something else they could be?
Second of all what kind of food did pirates eat? I'm thinking fish and seafood however some of our family is allergic to shellfish, should we have grilled chicken?
Also - Does anyone know any pirate songs? I can probably find lyrics online but the more titles I have the better!
Also needed - Games, Activities, Ideas for Pirate Attire, Pirate Language, and any other piraty ideas!!!
Thanks Matey!!!

This is a tough one, since the deck of the ship will be wrapping around the "ocean". However, it sounds like a great idea!
Women CAN be pirates, but if you're going for something resembling authenticity, they would either be harlots (read into that what you will) or captured maidens. The kids can get into it as well.
Drinks should be rum based, from Rum Punches (light rum and dark rum mixed with juices) to Grog (again, for authenticity. It's just Rum and water with a splash of lime juice and a little cinnamon). Non-alcoholic drinks should be fruit based with citrus juices. Frozen drinks like pina coladas or daquiris are good and easy (mixes are your best bet) and they can be virgin or not. If you're making virgin frozen drinks substitute in a little fresh orange juice or grapefruit to cut the sweet.
The food is really up to you. I'm sure you don't want to do the whole hardtack and stale bread thing, so why not go with a Caribbean menu, like jerk chicken & steak. Fishwise, a mahi mahi, swordfish or tuna is good, and easy to grill. And you can use all of these things for kebabs too.
Pirate songs are tough. Most of the traditional ones are probably a little randy, so I would just do a Jimmy Buffett, reggae mix (most pirates worked in the West Indies). Plus, with Buffett, you get great songs like "A Pirate Looks at Forty," "The Captain and the Kid," "Grapefruit, Juicy Fruit". I'm a parrothead, what can I say. For reggae, stay away from the Baha Men unless you want people to leave, and Peter Tosh, or the cops might come. Marley's always a good idea.
Games... Trivia's always good, or for the kids a treasure hunt (or adults).
Attire: Stay away from eyepatches! no, just kidding but someone will inevitably walk into something painful. Use some make up for scars, and make sure the men don't shave for a day or so. Horizontal wide striped shirts with a vest (and can be used for a Moulin Rouge party, sans vest), poofy shirts, women should be in sundresses or similar pirate garb. You can find pirate hats at any costume store for pretty cheap. Don't make the costumes too intricate though (hooks and things) unless you want to clean up a lot of discarded stuff.
Language: a lot of Arrrgh's, avast's, calling people scurvy dogs and the like.
Dress up the pool deck with a Jolly Roger, string lights around, and if you're using tiki torches, even better.
Anyway, have a great time. It's a great idea, and if you have a diving board, a lot of fun can be had!

Wow! I will definitely have to steal your idea, but in the mean time: Sailors would bring dried strips of meat out to sea because it doesn't require refrigeration so make sure you have out some jerky. And don't forget fruit to ward of the Scurvy Epidemic, chunks of fruit on tiny swords that you get at party stores would be lots of fun.
