This a farewell reception for work. I have a table top chocolate fountain want to get food to dip. Thinking about getting pretzles, fruit, cookies, etc. Event to last 2 hours and its after lunch. Also how much chocolate do the fountains use. Can't think of brand but the base is light brown and says old fashion chocolate fountain.

I think half a pound to a pound of each type per person is much too much. I'd guess at each type: If you're having pound cake, for example, figure 3 small pieces per person. And you should be able to get about 40-50 pieces per pound cake. So, I'd suggest 3 or 4. Fruit, especially strawberries will be very popular, so figure about 4 strawberries per person. I'd just estimate how many an average person will take and multiply by 40 for the total number of servings.
