WINTER WONDERLAND
This theme works very well for decorating. Start with snowflakes, icicles, fake snow, snowmen and frosted Windows, nutcrackers, these would all work well.
Add pinecone candles, alpine trees, ice garland.
Snowflakes are a perfect compliment to a Winter Wonderland theme. Whether you use tissue snowflakes (hang them in classrooms, hallways, or over your banquet table), 3-D snowflake centerpieces, or snowflake Lights (drape these intricate plastic lights around banisters or porches), you really can create a winter wonderland.
Set your table with frosted flute glasses. Add snowball candles and tree votive lanterns and luminaries for a complete look. You may even want to have a lighted reindeer in your forest, a great background for pictures for some great pictures.
Hopefully a fireplace is available to warm your guests. If it is at your home, to hire a horse driven sleigh would be a wonderful way to entertain guests, especially if there is a nice light snow adding to the theme of the party.
Food of course should be comfort foods, everything that says winter is truly a wonderland for all ages.
Winter can be a time of dazzling beauty so why not create your own Winter Wonderland in the middle of your everyday life?
futuristic. make all the food look futuristic too and make everyone dress up or dont let them in and u can have a laugh at how stupid they all look!!!
I went to a Chav/trailer trash party where we all dressed as chav's and a few trailer trash it was so funny as everybody has a different idea of chav there were loads of people who had chav item that we neva though of. it was great. I did the lily allen big earring and gown with trainers and due to no heels i danced the night away.
It was a 35th birthday and the over 40's were the best at chav-ing it all up.
for food just do snacks nothing too fancy chavs don't go for that
SALSA PARTY!!!...Mexican/South American...bright...hot food. ...hot salsa music...Have a bit of sunshine in the winter, Whatever you decide have a good one!!! I haven't checked out the last answers...so sorry if I'm just repeating another idea.
Mexican style Tapas...you can pick...no need to sit down..Pin the moustache on the gringo...Pinata..

Hi-ya why not try a Super Heroes and Villians bash, all your guests have to attend as an already existing Hero or Villian(Superman, Wolverine, Goblin, Dr No, Magneto or even Super Ted or Skeletor), or they can invent one (Super Trashman or The Amazing Dinner Maid) that way they can let there imagination run wild, you could even put up various prizes, best imagination, most realistic, most obsurd, and a penalty or dare for the worst outfits, then let the party start with everybody's favourite, you can even re-name some games for the evening (Twister to Hero/Villian Showdown or Giant Jenga to the Mighty Block Pull) again your imagination is all that holds you back, then you could have different drinks, Heroes Elixirs - Villians Poisons and so on even with the food - Lukes Lunchbox, Darth Vaders Dessert, Spiderman Spaghetti, Dr No Pie, Swampmans Stew.
Its only an idea but everybody has a favourite Hero or Villian, or they would like to be one, help bring out the child in all

How about a roaring 20's style party, where the ladies can wear Flapper style dresses and or any othere fashions from that era and the guys can wear Zuit suits, And make cocktails, and plenty of houvres douvres and sweets. I hope this is a nice suggestion. Or have a silver and gold Party

Well my son is having one based on The Titanic....what were you wearing when the ship went down? So could be posh dresses, suits, or naval uniforms or life belts or kitchen staff etc.
