what kind of party. u do not need a theme. just use a variety of colors for napkins,plates, and cups. i had a build ur own theme. that is that everyone makes there own food. put some sub bread out, different meats, cheese, some dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, and what ever and let them make their food. i had a bev. fountain with pink lemonade. i had my favorite, a choclate fountain, i put pretzels, marshmellows, graham crackers, stwaberrys, and other fruit. for my center, i put little glass fish bowls w/ three gold fish, and marbles on the bottom, the guests took them home at the end.
Being summer time their are many themes that would fit this time of year. How about a Hawaiian Luow (sorry about my bad spelling) You can put some lanterns up on the patio, make some barbecue ribs or ham or some sort of pork, some fresh pineapple would be good, maybe baked sweet potatoes, a fruit salad, and some sort of tropical type cake or pie for dessert. You can go to party supply store and get some grass skirt stuff to make a skirt around the table. for drinks how about pina coladas, a blue mauy, play some hawaiian music.
or have a beach type party. Everyone wears swim suits, barbecue hot dogs, hamburgers, serve with baked beans, potatoe salad, a raw veggie tray with dip, use some beach towels for a table cloth, play some good rock and roll beach type music like the beach boys or something along those lines.
the theme should be 50's it difrent and fun
I say you should have an 80's party, a graffiti party, or a camera party.
The 80's one is pretty self explanatory. Everyone dress up in their most 80's and out of style garb and rock out to 80's hits all night.
The graffiti party is where everyone brings a marker and wears a white shirt and draws all over each other. I have a few graffiti party shirts hanging up in my closet because theyre so funny to look back on. You get a lot of numbers and hilarious memories from these.
And the camera one is where everyone gets a disposable camera and takes pictures all through the night of everyone getting wasted. After a few days of not remembering what happened, you'll get the pictures developed and look back and laugh. Usually the host of the party declares that a 24 pack of bud light goes to the cameraman or woman who takes the funniest picture.

How would strangers on the web who don't know you have any idea what kind of theme party you should have. By the way, beginning a question with "omg" really makes you sound like a moron. And I doubt that assessment is very far from the truth.

"Hawaiian Nights" I think this would be so cute to see people in cocoa nut bras and grass skirts. Have the party outside lit wiith torches. Oh yeah and don't forget the mosquito repelant.
How about a baking party?
Get some homey decorations, some 1950's style aprons, a lot of colorful bowls from the dollar store and some cooking utensils. Have your guests bake cookies, make appetizers and main meals.(Look for retro cookbooks.) Play music from the time period and have fun.
