the man If it's a true Gentlemen and it's in his personality to be that way, then the male will pay. Otherwise it's 50 / 50 for a mutual meet up, Or it's on whoever invited the other to go. Some females dislike paying at all and might be offended if you don't, but if you're a real alpha male, this will not matter to you.

I think the guy cuz it usually works out that way in most cases but as the relationship goes on i think the relationship expenses should even out between both the man and woman.
In some relationships it breaks apart becuz of financial things. They get in a fight bout who pays for almost everything.I know ppl that just broke up becuz of that. It's not fair if only the guy pays for everything and the girl asks for everything she can and takes advantage of it.And it's not fair if the girl pays for everyhting. At the starting point of the relationship usually the guy pays and then they begin to even out and maybe taking turns to pay so they don't have war over a easy thing to solve!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it was on first date, i guess man should be more approached to yhis matter. I just know my boyfriend the first time and first went out shopping, i was shocked he ask me for money direct for paying someone gift and its becomes get uses after all.. the person that asked

The man should pay unless of course it was the woman's idea to go out. There is also no shame in going half-in-half on a date either. Whoever asks to go on the date. If a girl asks the guy out, she should pay and vice versa. Sometimes though a guy will insist on paying even though the girl did the asking.

Who ever approached should pay but for me it should be the guy, how would you if he could fed you when your married if the guy cannot even pay for your date? Yes, mostly men pays, if you don't have work yet, don't pay but if you have something to share and that would not be offensive to him, why not?

If you were the one who invited the lady out, then you should expect and plan on paying the bill. If she would offer to either help pay or take care of the entire bill, then mention that you would like the pleasure of picking up the tab since you did the inviting. Also suggest that her paying for a future date would be fine if she would ask you to dinner, lunch, movie or whatever, and ask whether that type of arrangement wouldn't be fine with her. Then by all means do let her invite you out and pay for the date. If she would then continue to insist then let her do what she would like and look for someone else to date.
