Answers:
Although there is no set manufacturing standard listed on salt and pepper shakers, it has always been the practice to put salt in the shaker with larger and fewer holes to accomodate the grains of salt, which are larger and heavier than pepper

Other Answers:
the one that has holes that form a shape of an S get salt.

The one the has holes that form the shape of a P get pepper

dude the salt goes into the one with the less holes and the pepper goes into the one with the most holes. Somewhat confused about the question...

Pepper shakers usually have larger holes.

You might want to be more specific about what you are asking. Which what goes where where? What? more holes = pepper.
fewer holes = salt.

Big holes Pepper. Salt generally goes in the shaker with the most number of holes on top & pepper goes in the shaker with the least number of holes. (reason being - pepper is a stronger spice & you generally need less of it when you're shaking it out so the shaker has fewer holes)
Or you could make it really easy on yourself & get a set with S & P on top or Salt & Pepper written on the front!!
Good luck!!! Hey now, quit playing with the salt & pepper shakers and let Mommy cut the crust of your grilled cheese.
