Did Rachael Ray ever go to cooking school ? ..All she evr talks about is learning from her job at IHOP when she was a teen..and when she went on a show with Paula Deen ..paula was practically having a CORONARY because Rachael would never measure anything when she was baking ...just wondering ?

Answers:
Rachael Ray did not go to culinary school.

She never cooked or even prepped at any fine dining restaurant.

Most people doubt that she's spent much time reading any sort of culinary texts unless you want to count reading the recipes off the backs of cake mix.

But that's not her appeal. She's cheery, chipper and non-threatening. Her food and "technique" are quick (30min meals right?) and easy enough for the middle american audience she draws to slap together between Franklin Mint purchases. And those 30 minute meals which were born out trying to hawk foods in her jobs as a Cowen & Lobel staffe. So it's basically advertising experience, not cooking, which has served so well in her climb to TV popularity.

Other Answers:
Yes. She grew up in Lake George, NY, which is only about 20 miles from my town. She attended college for culinary arts and studies extensively in Europe as well.

I like Rachael but I don't think she went to school for cooking. She would have mentioned it by now like all of the other Food Network Stars. I don't think she did... but I'm not sure, she may have. All I know is that she rocks. I have tried the recipes she makes on that one show of hers... YUM!

Who cares, I am so sick of her blabbering!

She has never went to cooking school. She worked in her parents restaurant and worked in a food shop and could not get any chefs to do it for the money the store offered for in store demos. So she did the demos herself called 30 minute meals and the food network heard about it and how was show the show started.

Her own mouth in an interview No, she didn't have any formal culinary teaching, but she has worked in the food business all her life. And, no.it wasn't IHOP ;)

i really like her but she talks so much..
i don't think she went to school

Ray's family owned a restaurant in Massachusetts and her mother managed restaurants in upstate New York. Rachael started at the candy counter at Macy's in New York City. She helped open Agata & Valentina, a New York City market. Moving upstate, she worked as buyer and chef at the Cowan & Lobel market in Albany, New York. With the success of her "30 Minute Meals" classes, Schenectady, NY TV station WRGB asked her to continue on their newscasts. This, along with a public radio appearance and the publication of her first book, led to a Today Show spot and her first Food Network contract. Starting in September, Rachael will have a new syndicated daytime talk show

Don't know about that ,but she does get a little annoying. I'm waiting for her to get big and Fat. She cooks fattening unhealthy foods. Rachael did go to college, but I'm uncertain if it was for culinary arts. Guess you could find it somewhere on the Internet.

Rachel Ray is very entertaining to watch in the foodnetwork wether she measures or not, she is still entertaining. Lets face it, most of us dont measure either.

Um, I'm pretty sure Rachael ray is the devil. Once she made hot dog casserole, sounds like the work of the devil.
