why is it that if you leave hot food on the table that it gets cold, but if you leave a cold drink on the table it gets warm? and please do not say its room temp I know that I just want to know why it feels that way
Answers:
Because something hot will not STAY hot without heat being applied to it. Same with cold, it won't stay cold without ice or refrigeration. I'm sure there's some fancy term for it, but I don't know what it is.
Other Answers:
It seems to me you just answered your own question. If you leave hot food out...and temperature isn't the same (or less than) as it was before it will get cold. Vice versa for cold food.
This question bothers you that much huh?
if you take a meal out of the oven & its red hot when you leave it on the table it just feels colder because it was so hot b4 & if you leave a cold drink out that feels warmer because of how cold it was when you took it out of the fridge. if you lived in a hot country with no oven or freezer then everything would be the same temp ?
It's all about balance. The natural state of a thing (anything) is to be at balance (peace) with it's surroundings. Whether it has to do with temperature, weight, pressure, or even things like emotion, energy, and health. The Universe is always looking to restore balance.
It normalizes to the surrounding temperature.

The world is constantly being fought over by two evil fairies. One fairy is the Queen of Fire and the other Ice.. they are constantly sending their fairy underlings out to try and sabotage the other. That is why.
Now you know the truth but beware now they will come after you too. Ever since I discovered them they have been making me hot and cold..they are also responsible for the hot and cold flashes of menopause...
