CHICKEN ORIENTAL SALAD

Salad
3 to 4 chicken breasts
1 small head of cabbage
2 pkgs. chicken-flavored Ramen noodles (uncooked)
2 (3 oz. each) pkgs. slivered almonds
2 to 3 T. sesame seeds

Dressing
? c. vegetable oil
? c. white vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
3 T sugar
2 chicken-flavored packets (from Ramen pkgs.)

Boil chicken in salted water. Chop cabbage into thin slices. Crunch noodles while still in bags, then add noodles to cabbage. Brown almonds and sesame seeds in olive oil and add to cabbage along with cubed chicken. Whisk together oil, vinegar, sugar, seasoning packets, and salt and pepper. Pour over salad and lightly toss.


5-CUP SALAD

1 c. mini marshmallows
1 c. pineapple chunks (drained well)
1 c. mandarin oranges
1 c. coconut
1 c. sour cream

Combine ingredients and chill for 4 hours before serving. Makes 4 to 6 servings.

MARINATED FRUIT SALAD

2 c. cubed cantaloupe
2 c. cubed honeydew
2 medium kiwifruit, peeled, halved and sliced

2 c. crushed pretzels

3 c. sugar

2 liters lemon-lime soda, chilled lime slices

In a 4-qt. freezer container, combine the water, sugar and limeade concentrate until sugar is dissolved; cover and freeze. Remove from freezer several hours before serving. Chop mixture until slushy. Add soda just before serving. Garnish with lime slices if desired. Makes 30 servings.


REFRESHING WATER PUNCH

1 Tablespoon Lemon Extract
1 Tablespoon Citric Acid
2 cups sugar
5 quarts water and ice (mixture)
1 lemon sliced (optional garnish)

Mix Lemon Extract, Citric Acid, sugar, and water until dissolved. Add ice and lemon slices before serving.


TROPICAL STRAWBERRY SLUSHIES

2 cups frozen strawberries

1 pint vanilla ice cream

Use Blue Raspberry (or something similar) for blue punch or Red Raspberry (or something similar) for pink Baby Shower punch. Mix the Kool-Aid, sugar, and water according to the package directions. In a large punch bowl, mix the prepared Kool-Aid, thawed Pi?a Colada mix, and 7-Up or Sprite. Add scoops of vanilla ice cream. A delightfully refreshing punch! Makes 25 servings.


PARADISE MANGO LEMONADE

2 cups sliced mangoes, pureed (fresh or frozen)
5 cups cold water

Dissolve the sugar in 1/2 cup of boiling water in saucepan, over low heat. Then add the 5 cups of cold water and mix in the pureed mangoes. Now add the lime juice. Serve with shaved or cubed ice. Makes 4 servings.


CREAMY PINK PARTY PUNCH

1 quart vanilla ice cream
1 quart rainbow sherbet
2 quarts pineapple juice
