(can have cake with coffee later too...)
Rib roast, black eyed peas w/ ham chunks, green beans, and mashed potatoes.

in the south, i am in Texas, there is a tradition that you must eat cabbage or other greens for money in the new year, and black eyed peas for luck. so we will probably have some of that with cornbread and i will make a roast and mashed potatoes to go with it.
Licker (not spelled wrong, and for a long time) and tubesteak sandwiches.
Hoppin' John and a salad. It brought us luck last year!
Stuffed shrimp, mashed potatos, soup, and chips,dips,fruit, and veggie trays.

you can make a party with pizza,snacks and drinks !what els you want?just have a nice time with nice music and a lot of dance!
For my Mom and me, antipasto, garlic shrimp, crusty bread, Stilton chz, olives, anchovies, herring in cream sauce, olives, artichoke hearts. Oh yes, red wine. Happy New Year!!
