Sausages, chicken, beef, stuff like that. Just make sure its not cremated as so many of my bbq's turn out.
At our last one we had pork steaks and brats. You will need some cole slaw, baked beans and potato salad. Add some beer and chips, some good friends and it party time. What do I need to bring!!
Depends on what kinda of BBQ this is, you can serve grilled Lobster and grilled corn with steaks or Chicken with grilled pineapple, Hot dogs and Burgers. Whatever fits your budget, you can grill almost anything.

If you are going to have a lot of people I would do chicken, burgers and dogs, Marinate the chicken in teryaki the night before, marinate the steaks in red wine and hot dogs arent worth marinating .

Buy a bunch of chips and dips, a veggie tray is also nice, dont forget soda and beer (or whatever booze you like if its that kind of party) have fun.
Baked beans with smoked sausage in them or topped with bacon, potato salad, cole slaw, bbq chicken, beef brisket is great if you have 8-12 hours to cook it. Smoked sausages with grilled onions and peppers. There are some great frozen hamburger patties out there now. You can even get 93% lean hamburgers frozen, but I would suggest 80/20 because they are juicier. I would make sure you are buying 100% beef though. This is so easy for a BBQ because you can put them on the grill frozen and make just what you need instead of having too many or too few. Plus no mess of making the patties. I would also serve a pasta salad (same ingredients as the potato salad just pasta instead of potatoes). Here are a couple recipes:

Great American Potato Salad

3/4 cup KRAFT Mayo Real Mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. KRAFT Pure Prepared Mustard
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 cups cubed potatoes, cooked
2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup sliced celery
1/3 cup dill pickle relish

Mix mayo, mustard and seasonings in large bowl.

ADD remaining ingredients; mix lightly. Cover. Refrigerate several hours or until chilled.

Makes 6 servings.

KFC Cole Slaw

8 cups finely chopped cabbage (1 head)
? cup shredded carrot (1 medium carrot)
1/3 cup granulated sugar
? teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
? cup milk
? cup mayonnaise
? cup buttermilk
1 ? tablespoons white vinegar
2 ? tablespoons lemon juice

1.Be sure that the cabbage and carrots are chopped up into very fine pieces (about the size of rice kernels.
2.Combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice and beat until smooth.
3.Add cabbage and carrots. Mix well.
4.Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Serves 8
Chopped pork, baked beans, corn on the cob, coleslaw, rolls and some sort of dessert.
Slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, etc.
