Everyone wears white teeshirt and brings felt tip pen and writes things all over each others tee's whilst getting very drunk.

Those murder mystery party kits are lots of fun (you can find them on Amazon). They have a theme, and prior to the party, every guest gets a character. They come dressed as that character, and get clue booklets. Everyone tries to solve the murder and prove themselves innocent.
We just had an italian mafia-themed one. Everyone had a blast. We decorated our house like an italian restaurant (with checkered table cloths, little votive candles, &c.), played Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin CDs, and had an Italian dinner, with spaghetti and meatballs, stuffed shells, salad, breadsticks, tiramisu, and, of course, Italian wines! It was great!
It was especially good, because not all of our guests knew each other, and the game gave everyone something to talk about, and helped everyone feel comfortable.
