Answers:
if you are doing a cinderella theme... you would want to think of something that is peasant themed. Basically it would be a very rustic meal... loaf breads, maybe whole fryer chickens, baked potatoes, corn on the cob. Serve the whole meal with no silverware, so everyone has to eat with their hands... i think that would be cool theming.

The princess part of cinderella was not a very big part of the whole story, she was poor for most of the movie. I think that my meal would reflect the story better, and put people in the time period. Why go all gourmet with the food when you could make the dining experience more fun for your guests?

You could get some cool slate plates that have a very cool presentation, some neat looking goblets that would hold a nice red wine... maybe even some soup bowls with no spoons so people have to sip it. HAVE FUN WITH IT!

Cavier...it's fit for a princess.
Angel food cake with strawberry ice cream topped with pink crystal sprinkles. Also, for a punch, use a 2 liter of ginger ale and pour it in a punch bowl, add a 1/2 gallon of rasberry sorbet about 1 hour before serving. Its easy to make and delicious.pretty, too!!! We make it for baby showers with a little girl theme because of the pink color.(keep stirring the punch until the sorbet melts.)
Glass Shoes crystal cake, Prince Charming dressed Waiters, and use a makeshift magic star wand as the table number staffs.
Make vanilla cupcakes and frost them with 7 minute frosting or a fluffy white frosting. Get some clear sprinkles, so it looks like fairy dust and sprinkle the tops with that.
Bake 2 cakes in 8x8 pans and a bunch of round cookies with holes in the middle. Buy graham crackers and some of break them along the dotted lines. Get tons of gumdrops and red whip licorice and peppermints and other pretty candy. Buy 12" bamboo kebob skewers. Make stiff white frosting. (You know where this is going don't you?)

Put the 2 cakes together in layers (jelly or frosting between) to make the 'main part' of your castle. Stack cookies up at the corners to make towers. Put jelly or frosting between the cookies and anchor the towers in place with the skewers. The pieces of graham cracker get stuck along the top of the square part for battlements. Then frost the whole thing and decorate lavishly. Toothpicks hold gumdrops and gummy candy in place. Don't forget that your castle must have doors and windows!

This is a real pain the butt of an all day project, but boy oh boy does it ever impress your guests!
Cheese (for the mice) and different kinds of berries.
Any kind of "peasant" or medieval food.

Good luck!!

You can get cake pans that are designed to make a ball ( sphere) But you could decorate it as a pumpkin carriage instead. Or use 2 bundt cakes put together with the bottoms touching to make a pumpkin shape. For the rest of the food see if you can find plastic toothpick/ skewer things with stars on the end to look like magic wands and use them for mini cheese and fruit kabobs. Or do small tea sandwiches, make regular sandwiches on sliced bread and then cut out shapes with a cookie cutter.
